Have another chapter, my dear ghost readers, while I take my PSAT test for school 🥲🥲
Peter stared at Nick Fury, who was glaring at him with his arms crossed.
Tony shut the lab door, and led Peter over so that they were both standing in front of the scary man.
"Peter, this is Nick Fury. Nick, this is Peter Parker," Tony introduced.
"Hi, Mr. Fury. It's an honor to meet you," Peter said shyly, trying his hardest not to stutter.
He held his hand out for Nick Fury to shake, but the man merely looked at it, before taking a deep breath.
"I've been looking for you for a while, Spider Man."
Peter paled at that, letting his arm fall to the side as he looked up at Tony in slight hurt and betrayal.
Tony looked back at him, an apologetic look on his face, "I'm sorry, kid. One of the other Avengers found our messages and told Nick that I knew your identity. I had to tell him."
Peter nodded, sighing, "It's okay, Mr. Stark. He was going to find out eventually, anyway."
Then, he turned back to Fury as the man began speaking again.
"You have gained quite the popularity lately. But you don't even know how to fight. I mean, have you seen your suit? That thing was a shit show!"
Peter refrained from glaring at the man.
"I understand that, sir. But, I couldn't just sit around and do nothing with my abilities. I had to go out and help! Even if I don't know much about being a hero and stuff, I couldn't just sit around and let other people suffer."
Nick just stared at him as he spoke, and it made Peter feel little.
"I saw that you saved kids from a school shooting today. You got there way quicker than any of the other responders, and you handled the situation more efficiently than they could have, I guarantee that. But next time you want to be a super hero, you better as hell know how to fight. And I better never see you wearing that damn onesie again."
"Yes, sir," Peter said, looking down to hide his grin.
Fury nodded to Tony, before he got up and headed out of the lab.
"Well," tony said once he had left, "that wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."
Peter nodded.
"Now!" Tony said, clapping his hands together, walking toward the back of the lab, "I still have that thing I need to show you."
