The following Monday, Peter ran over to Ned and MJ, who were standing at Peter's locker.
"Guys!" He said excitedly, "You'll never believe what I've been doing all weekend!"
MJ snorted, but Ned got just as excited as Peter was.
"Oh my God what! Did you kill a gang?" He asked.
"What?" Peter laughed, "No! Or course not!"
"Bummer," muttered MJ.
"I was at Stark Tower!" He whisper yelled.
Ned squealed, and MJ yawned.
"How were you in Stark Tower!" Ned yelled.
Peter slapped a hand over his mouth, shushing him loudly.
Peter went on to explain everything that had happened from the school shooting (that Ned and MJ had apparently already seen on the news - Flash still couldn't stop talking about how cool spider man was and how he looked up to the 'masked man' more than anyone else) to what happened on Friday.
He told them how Tony Stark spent almost the whole weekend with him, teaching him how to use the suit and Karen for help.
By the time he finished updating his friends on everything that had happened the previous week, Ned's jaw had to be picked up off the floor, and MJ looked impressed.
She was smirking, in an impressed way.
It made Peter slightly surprised.
"So," MJ said, "are you an avenger now?"
Peter thought about it for a moment, frowning, "I'm not sure, actually. Mr. Stark and Mr. Fury never said anything about it. The only two avengers I've met were, of course, Mr. Stark and Dr. Banner."
"I still can't believe you met Dr. Banner!" Ned exclaimed, squealing again.
MJ chuckled at her friends excitement, "Don't go creaming your panties over it."
Ned glared at her, while Peter gasped at the crude words she said.
Suddenly, the bell rang, causing the three teens to groan.
"Well," MJ said, "I have to get to class right away. I've got a test and my teacher is being really strict about being there on time. Later nerds."
"By MJ!" Peter and Ned said at the same time.
"Peter," Ned started, "I'd love to wait for you, but I...kinda have to meet someone so I can walk her to class!"
Peter hasn't heard Ned squeal this much in one day before, and he was finding it highly amusing.
"Who's the lucky girl?" Peter teased.
"She's in my third period. Her name is Brittany."
Ned looked into the void, with a look of pure admiration on his face.
Peter grinned, patting Ned on the shoulder, "I'm happy for you, Ned. Well, I shouldn't keep you waiting! Run along, lover boy."
"Bye, Peter!" Ned called, running down the hall.
Peter turned to his locker, putting the code in and opening it, jumping back in surprise when he saw that there was a pile of mud sitting in there.
He looked at it with confusion, before he heard laughing from behind him.
Turning, he glared at Flash, who was walking over to him with a look of accomplishment.
"What the hell, Flash," Peter sighed.
"You should really get a better code on that thing," Flash said, pointing to Peter's lock, "9, 1, 19, 13. What do those numbers mean? Oh, I'll be happy to tell you!"
Flash walked right in front of Peter, pushing him slightly into his locker, "the numbers represent each letter of the first letter of every word. I. Am. Spider man. Well, news flash, Penis! You aren't spider man, and you could never be spiderman! You know why, Penis? Because you're pathetic and week, you're just a wimpy little nerd! But Spiderman; he's brave and heroic, and he's strong! He stopped a whole entire school shooting in two minutes! I bet you couldn't do that, huh?"
Flash was so close that his breath was making Peter want to vomit, and he felt slightly claustrophobic.
He tried to push Flash back, but the boy only got closer to him.
"You're pathetic, Penis," Flash growled.
"And you're gay for spider man," Peter retorted.
Flash backed up instantly, "What! No I'm not! You don't know anything, penis!"
Flash slapped him across the face, but then he was scurrying off to class.
Peter stared after him with confusion, before he was shaking off the germs Flash probably gave him from being so close to him.
He sighed, as he began to clean up his locker.
"I wonder what Flash would think if he knew who I was," Peter muttered to himself in amusement.
