It was a week later when Peter met Loki.
He was in Stark Tower, sitting on a small couch next to the floor to ceiling windows in the living area.
Rain was pelting the window like angry worriers at war with each other, and the sky was dark from the black thick clouds blocking out the sun.
Peter was reading a book, feeling drowsy from the calming rain.
Occasionally, a crack of lightning would strike the air, the booming thunder roaring in the sky, keeping Peter from falling asleep.
He would have been at home, but Aunt May was working all night again, and the house was too lonely to be in all alone on a rainy evening.
Tony said, when Peter had asked, that he would love if Peter spent the night there.
Since Peter was now an avenger, he technically lived there, too. He had even gotten his own room, just like all the other Avengers.
But he lived with Aunt May, so he would only spend nights at Stark Tower when she was working and he didn't want to be home alone.
Just as he was starting to doze off, someone sat beside him, startling him awake.
"What are you reading, spider child?"
Peter looked up at the man, a literal God.
"Uh, I-I'm just catching up on some Sherlock Holmes."
Loki nodded, "Interesting. I've never heard of it. I'm Loki, by the way. Though, you probably knew that already. I take it you're Peter Parker, the infamous Spider Man?"
Peter nodded, surprised that Loki already knew who he was.
Peter just gaped up at him.
"You're not scared of me, are you?" Loki asked, with a sly grin. Though, Peter could see the slight hurt in his eyes.
"No!" Peter said quickly, turning his body towards Loki, "I'm-I'm actually a slight admirer of you, if I'm being honest."
Loki quirked his eyebrow up, looking at Peter with amusement. But Peter could see the hurt was gone, being replaced with relief.
"An admirer?" Loki repeated, "I've never had one of those before. Please, do explain."
Peter blushed, "Well, it-its just that, from what I've heard about you, you have had some family troubles, and-and that's what caused you to be a bad guy or something. And you, well you tried to take over the earth- but you didn't! You got better! And-And I think you're really brave, Mr. Loki."
Peter then put his book up, using it to cover his red face from Loki.
He heard the man chuckle, before Loki was reaching up, grabbing the top of the book before lowering it back down, revealing Peter's face, his eyes peering up at him.
Peter saw a genuine smile on the gods face.
"Thank you, Peter, for your kind words. Enjoy your story, little spider; you'll have to read me this 'Sherlock Holmes' some day. I shall find a way to repay you for your kindness."
Then, Loki was leaving, leaving Peter a blushing mess.
