"Johann Schmidt belongs in the bughouse. He thinks he's a god and he's going to blow up half the world to prove it." Colonel Phillips says as he turns away from the map mounted on the wall and faces the table he was stood at the head of. Seated in front of you was Steve Rogers, you stood behind him with your arms crossed over your chest nervously. Standing around were other soldiers ready to help win, folders in their hands. "Starting with the U.S.A." Chester adds, turning to press his finger on the United States that was on the map.

The howling commandos had recently captured Arnmin Zola and have been interrogating him. And they recently learned that HYDRA was planning to attack The United States.

So now everyone was currently in a briefing lead by, of course, Colonel Chester Phillips.

Howard Stark strides in, speaking as he walks and sits at an empty chair. "Schmidt's working with powers beyond our capabilities. He gets across the Atlantic, he'll wipe out the entire eastern seaboard in an hour." You shift your gaze to Steve as he places his paper on the table, you shift from side to side for a moment as you toy with your bottom lip.

"How much time we got?" Jones, one of the howling commandos, questions Colonel Phillips. "According to my new best friend, under twenty four hours." Chester replies, looking up from the papers he was just looking through. "Where is he now?" Someone else questions, but you couldn't seem to pinpoint who asked. You take a smaller step closer to Steve.

The elder male soon points to the paper he was holding, now you can see that it is a photo. "Hydra's last base is here, in the Alps. Five hundred feet below the surface." He said, tossing the photos down in front of Mortia. Said male picks up the photos to look at them better before letting them fall to the table. "What are we supposed to do? Its not like we can just knock on the front door." He huffed, turning to look at the male to his side.

Suddenly Steve speaks up, all eyes snapping to him. "Why not?" He asked, looking down at the paper he had in front of him. "That's exactly what we are gonna do." Steve Rogers decides. It took everything in you not to smack the back of his head and yell at him. Yes it did sound like a rude thing to do to Steve. But what he was saying to do was a death trap. Steven Grant Rogers was a reckless man, he always has been. He wanted to avenge Bucky, and so did you.

But you knew you had no way to avenge him, but Steve had every way and so he was gonna take it. Even if he got hurt. But you were afraid, you already lost James, you couldn't lose Steve as well.

This was Steve Rogers though, there was no way you were gonna stop him.

⤿ And like that, everyone was off. After a bit of an argument with Steve, you went with them. You promised him you would be safe, you said you would stay close to Peggy.

He knew he couldn't stop you at this point, there was no way he would be able to get you to stay back at the base. You were as stubborn as he was sometimes, and it really showed now.

"We're in! Assault team go!" Was heard from the combat radio, "Move out!" Colonel yelled, and like that everyone was raising their guns and headed into battle. Peggy looked over her left shoulder to you, nodding her head with a gentle smile. And like that you were handed a gun and running with the soldiers along side Peggy Carter.

You knew how to shoot and wield a gun, just because you worked solely as a nurse doesn't mean you weren't trained on how to use a gun. You knew the ins and outs of a gun, it was strange but your Grandmother taught you how. She taught you how to clean it, take it apart and put it back together.

You were a sight for sore eyes, nurse uniform adorned your body and a gun was held tightly in your grasp, raised and ready for anything- but hopefully you wouldn't actually need to use it.
