Hello, lovelies,
Here's yet another update for you all!

A short one, but it's worth it!!!;)

" I don't know!" Arjun said monotonously.
Ronit rolled his eyes, as Karan shook his head in disappointment.

For the past hour, both Ronit and Karan had raided Arjun's cabin and were trying to convince Arjun to come to Mumbai. He had successfully kept his frustration, guilt and pain bottled up in his heart. He was still not sure what to feel about that unexpected meeting with Anu.

He had lost his sleep! Yes! He missed her terribly, all these years. But, now since that meeting, he was simply unable to function properly. Without anyone's knowledge, he had even gone to her place a couple of times. He would sit in his car in front of her building like a pathetic stalker, but couldn't go further!

Ronit frowned, " I didn't know you have become this stubborn and selfish, Arjun! You see, everything is not about you! This is MY wedding! MY special day! And I wanted my best friend to stand by my side. But, now I see! You don't even care what we think about you! Don't worry! I won't force you anymore. Neha is already disappointed with Anu. And now you have done the same! But don't worry! You continue with your pathetic life. We will not bother you anymore!" Ronit threw the last glare towards Arjun and stormed out of his cabin.

Arjun was taken aback by Ronit's monologue! It was the first time Ronit had literally blamed him for something. But Arjun had nothing to argue! Ronit was right, after all! Arjun slumped on his chair and ran both his palms over his sculpted face. He hated himself for everything!

Karan observed how defeated Arjun looked at that moment!
"Bro, don't take his words to heart. He is just angry that you are not attending the wedding!" Karan consoled.
Arjun sighed, " I have just ruined everyone's life, Karan. Now you see? Why do I have to stay away from them? They don't understand!"

Karan gave a small smile, "Maybe it's you who needs to understand! Maybe you can make everything right, by reuniting with them? Who knows? They are your closest friends, Arjun! You never got tired of reminiscing the old memories to me! I have heard every story at least a hundred times! Don't do this to yourself, Arjun! Go and relive those old days! At least give it a try!" Karan urged.

Arjun was thinking deep for hours even after Karan left!
That evening, the first thing Arjun did after the duty was calling Ronit, " Hey man!"
Ronit was expecting his call,             " What now? Listen, I don't want to hear anything else unless you are confirming your presence at my wedding! If not, then you can go to hell!" He muttered.
Arjun sighed, " Look, I'm sorry, ok? You know I wouldn't have missed your wedding for anything! But, it's just... If Anu would be there too..."

Ronit groaned, " Grow up, Arjun! We are not teenagers anymore! Yes. She would be pissed at you! But it's not like she would leave my wedding the moment she sees you! So, don't worry! And in fact, we don't even know she would come!"

Arjun nodded wordlessly, " Actually, I was thinking to use this opportunity to apologize to her!"

Ronit was taken back, " So, that means, you are coming?"

Arjun sighed, " Yeah. But don't pressurize Anu to come. You know I don't want to hurt her again!"

Ronit couldn't contain his happiness but somehow managed to play cool, " Yeah... Yeah... Leave all that to me! And yes... If you screw this last chance, you'll never see my face again! Is that clear?"
Arjun scoffed, " As if that's even possible!" He muttered under his breath!

" I heard that, by the way!" Ronit said, slightly amused by his friend's good mood!
Arjun had a ghost of a smile after years, " Let me know what she says!" and cut the call!
He looked out the window of his room! He felt lighter for a change! He felt hopeful! Now, after years of torment, he finally had something to look forward to!
He may not hope for wooing her back, but he will at least get her to forgive him, he thought!
