Hey, lovelies!
So, here is another interesting update for you!
Happy reading!❤
_______________________________________Anu descended the stairs with a big tray of sweets in one hand and held her bottle green coloured Anarkali Kurti in the other. The hall was lavishly decorated with garlands and chandeliers for the Mehndi ceremony. Ladies were having a mini traditional dance show as some more ladies were setting a rhythm on the dholak and spoons.
Neha, clad in a gorgeous green lehenga, was seated in the centre, as two other girls were drawing mehndi on her hands.Just then, Anu descended the stairs with a big tray of sweets in one hand and held the hem of her bottle-green coloured Anarkali Kurti in the other.
Arjun neared his glass of coke to his mouth but completely forgot about taking a sip, as he gaped open-mouthed at his girl. Her dangling earrings shone brightly in the sun rays coming through the corridor. Her long hair was left completely open, as they swayed in the air, making Arjun's heart sway with them.
Just then, someone nudged him, bringing him out of his dreamland.
" Oww.." Radhika stood, grinning at him.
Arjun cleared his throat, " What?"
Radhika shrugged, " Nothing! You carry on with whatever you were doing, okay?" She said dramatically.
Arjun lowered his eyes as he felt uncomfortable, " What? Nothing. I wasn't doing anything."Radhika adored her cute brother and pinched his cheeks, " You look cute when you blush, you know!"
Arjun couldn't hide the ghost of his smile, but somehow controlled it,
" Are you forgetting who is elder among us?"Radhika grinned, " No. But maybe you are! Why else would you blush like a teenager?" Radhika winked. Well, thanks to Ronit, she had a hint of what was going on with her brother and Anu.
Arjun twisted her ear a bit as she winced, " Wait till you meet someone. Then I'll irritate you the same way." Arjun said playfully. However, Radhika's smile had already been dimmed at the mention of her meeting with someone.
Arjun noticed the change, and put his hand around her shoulder," What happened?"
Radhika shook her head as she lowered her eyes, " Nothing."
Arjun nudged her shoulder lightly, " Tell me."Radhika sighed, and smiled sadly, " I don't have any hopes of meeting someone anymore. I'm done with love. I only feel concerned about Mihika. Do you think I'll be able to raise her alone?"
Arjun's heart broke into million pieces hearing those words. His little sister had lost all hopes of finding true love so early in her life. He kissed her temple, " Have you forgotten who has raised us? Our Aai. She was alone. But you are not. I and Aai are always there with you, no matter what! I know Aai is not on talking terms with you, but trust me! She loves you even more now, for your courage to bring this child into the world alone."
Radhika's eyes filled with hopeful tears, " Do you really think so?"
Arjun wiped a tear that rolled down her cheek, " I know so!"
Radhika hugged her brother tightly as if her life depended on him.
Arjun sighed and kissed her hair,
" And remember one thing, Radhika, love always finds you, no matter where or in which situation you are. So don't ever lose hope, please. Will you do that for me?"
Radhika nodded as she closed her eyes in bliss, silently thanking her God for the umpteenth time, for giving her a gem of a brother!
She didn't know if she will ever love a man again. But, even if she did, she wouldn't be able to love him as much as she loves her brother! She knew that for sure!************************************
" Ugh..this dress! Astha, can you remove the end of the dupatta with your free hand? It's stuck in this hinge. " Anu asked as she tried walking in her dress with mehndi laden hands. She was trying to remove the tassel of her dupatta stuck in the hinge of the door of her room.
