It's worth it....

Hey guys...... How are you all? I hope you all are enjoying the story. I am still quite new to this writing thing. So I would like to hear your suggestions. Please like ,comment and share.....:)

                             Arjun was happy. Probably the happiest. But he didn't show it on his face as he was used to hiding most of his feelings. He had spoken with his angel for the first time.

Angel? Where did that come from?

He quickly dismissed the thought and attended the customers waiting to purchase various stationary items from his shop.
                           He was doing this since the library incident. Her thoughts, her smile, the memory of her flawless beauty, everything was too much tempting. But he knew that unfortunately he didn't have the luxury to indulge in any kind of romantic feelings towards anyone. He had far too many responsibilities on his shoulders. And studying was the least of them. That was the reason he never allowed his thoughts to wander in that direction. He had already returned her textbook the next morning itself. She was surprised to know that he had indeed completed such a long chapter in half a day. He didn't feel any need to tell her that it was actually a whole night.
                         After that day , something  changed  between them. At first he tried to ignore her as he was doing since the first day itself. But , now, he found it quite difficult to ignore her , especially when she would smile at him or greet him whenever their paths crossed in the campus. So he decided to be cordial with her.

There is no harm in that? Right?

                       The second reason for his happiness was Ronit. He had been a great friend to Arjun. He was a sorted and fun loving guy. He was not like a typical spoiled rich brat. Ronit was different. He never forced Arjun to high-class parties and pubs he would go with his other friends. He knew Arjun despised such activities. He never even tried to help financially as he knew Arjun had a self respect bigger than his height. But still the two of them understood each other very well. Ronit respected his choices and ,surprisingly, was not ashamed to have a friend with a very simple lifestyle. He was his friend for life. Arjun was happy to see his friend smitten by the girl,neha. But still, he would remind Ronit to focus on his studies  every once in a while.
                       Soon the internal exams arrived. Anjali had suggested to keep the shop closed till after the exams. But Arjun refused and said he would manage. So radhika would tag along with him to the shop to attend the customers. Arjun would study in the shop itself and would only attend the issues which radhika couldn't handle.
                        After their last physiology paper , he was walking towards the bus stop . Ronit had gone to drop neha. " Oh , so  now you are abandoning me for a girl?" Arjun had pulled his leg for a while. But all Ronit said was," yeah, man, say what you want. It's better to drop a beautiful girl rather than a brooding friend."
And Arjun had nothing to  argue on that.
                        He was walking when he heard a loud honking of a car. When he looked back , he saw a sleek black Benz approaching and stopped near him. An angelic face peeked out of the window of the back seat.
                       " Hey, hii, come  get in, Kaka will drop you. " Anu said gesturing towards the driver." No , no, it's alright. Bus stop is just few paces away. I can walk." Arjun said politely.

Why the hell am I so awkward in front of her?
  He wondered. Anu sighed animatedly,"  Well, I can see you have two legs . So I know you can walk . But it's going to rain. You don't even have an umbrella , do you?" Anu asked chuckling. Arjun chuckled as if embarrassed . " Alright " he said and opened car door and slid inside. " Thank you"  Arjun said smiling. " It's alright" Anu said. " Kaka, first let's drop my friend home" Anu said to the driver.
                     " How was your exam?" She asked. " Anatomy and physio were good. But biochem not so much. What about you?" Arjun asked. " It was good" Anu smiled. They talked for a few minutes, rather, she talked for a few minutes and he listened . When the car stopped in front of the bus stop , he got out of the car and thanked the driver and bid her bye. Arjun was a man of few words . But today he felt as if talking is the most beautiful thing in the world. Or may be hearing her blabbering was.
