Chapter 7 - The Mall

POV: Travis

I ended up spending the next few weeks at Sal's place, I haven't gone home in a while now, Sal won't let me. His dad is perfectly fine with me staying over too, Mr. Fisher is nothing like father, it's a good thing. Sal's friends and I grew a little closer now, it's not awkward when we hangout together anymore. I'm even closer to Larry more than the rest actually, him me and Sal always hangout pretty much every day now. It's nice having friends.

Me and Sal decided to go to the mall today, Sal's starting to run out of clothes for me to wear. Sal and I walked down to to Larry's apartment, he was laying on the couch watching tv. "Sally face!"Larry said. "Larry face! Wanna go to the mall with us?" "Sure! Definitely seems like Travis needs some clothes too." Larry laughed a little. I looked down at what I was wearing, I was wearing a purple sweatshirt my mom bought me a while back and Sal's jeans which were half way up my calves. They just looked like capree pants.

POV: Sal

Larry, Trav and I arrived at the mall, right when we first walked in Larry immediately went to Spencer's. Travis and I followed him in, "This place is weird." Travis looked uncomfortable, I mean can you blame him? This store has some fucked up shit. "I know, I never go in here but Larry always has to buy something here. This is where he gets all of his Sanity Falls merch." "What's Sanity Falls?" I stopped walking, "Larry did you hear this guy? He said he's never heard of Sanity Falls." Larry turned and looked at Travis, "Mc'Scuse me? Bro that's gotta change, on the way back home we will show you." Larry picked up Slip Knot t-shirt from the rack and showing it to us, "What do you guys think?" It was a black shirt with all the band members on it and the band name written at the top. "I like it." I said.

Larry bought the shirt and we left, heading to some random stores in the mall. Travis bought a few new shirts and jeans and Larry got some graphic tees. I haven't found anything I liked yet. "Hey we should get ice cream guys." Larry pointed to a Dairy Queen in the food court. "Ooh we should! Trav you want some?" I looked up at Travis, "I've never had it before, does it taste good?" Larry stopped walking, "Bruh.. your fucking kidding. How the hell have you not had ice cream?" We turned around and looked at Larry, "Father never let me eat it. I don't know I didn't think it was a big deal." Travis shrugged. "Well that's gotta change man." Larry went between Travis and I, throwing his arms over our shoulders.

Travis and Larry ordered ice cream sundaes, "You not gonna buy one Sal?" Travis asked. "No I'm lactose intolerant." "Oh damn that's sucks." Travis seemed to enjoy his ice cream a lot. He finished it pretty quickly. It was funny when he got brain freezes though, he kept forgetting to eat the ice cream slower. We kept walking around the mall going into any stores we thought we'd might like. I spotted Indigo, it's my favourite book store. "Oh guys I wanna go in there." I pointed to the store. "Aw hell no little dude. You can but I'm not going in there. I hate books too much, I'm gonna go to Zumies." Larry pointed to a store down the hall, "Travis wanna go with me or Sal?" "I'll go with you, I'm also not a huge fan of books."

"Okay sounds good, I'll meet you guys by the door afterwards." I headed the opposite direction of Travis and Larry, and walked into the book store. I loved the smell of new books. I found a couple of books I wanted to buy, I found The Hate U Give and Monday's Not Coming. (You guys should actually read those books, their amazing. Especially mondays not coming, it's my all time favourite book) After I paid I headed to the front door that we entered through. Travis and Larry weren't there yet so I waited.
