Chapter 10

Alanzo's P.O.V.

"Do you think she's here?" I asked Talia. We were in the Hobby Airport in Houston, Texas.

"Maybe. I really don't know if she's here or not but I know that she is in this state." Talia said confidently.

"Okay. Where would she be at in this city?"

"Uh...is there any type of water in Houston?"

"I don't know. I'm from Italy. Across seas." I said trying to get Talia to think straight.

"Right. I'll just ask someone." Talia walked off and that left me and Daniel.

"How are you?" I asked him.

"I'm good now."

"Why is that?"

"Well I am scared of flights and I had my mate here to comfort me the whole way." He smiled.

"Lucky bastard." I mumbled.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing."

"Oh. And I'm sorry dude. I didn't mean to rub it in your face. I feel sorry for you. Not being able to touch your mate or talk to her."

"Yeah I wish I could tal- Oh my god! Why didn't I think if that before? I'm so stupid!" I smacked my forehead.

"Uh what just happened?" Daniel said in confusion.

"Why didn't we call her? I could find someone and tell them to track her phone down."

"Another good thing is that Talia and Mai have the same phone plan."

I smiled, "Thanks man. You're a lot of help." I then ran to Talia.

"Talia! Talia! Wait!" She stopped walking and turned around.

"What?"

"Who do you have a phone contract with?"

"Uh...T-mobile. Why?"

"We need to find the nearest T-mobile store." I grabbed Talia and Daniel's hand and dragged them to a vacant taxi.

"Take us to the nearest T-mobile store." I commanded the taxi driver and he pressed on the gas.

We were at a store in less than ten minutes. I jumped out the car and went inside. I waited for Talia to come inside. She was taking forever.

She then came in furious, "Why didn't you pay the taxi? Daniel and I had to search for money."

"Oh sorry about that. I owe you guys. Now try to look for Mai's phone."

Talia rolled her eyes and went to an employee. "Excuse me sir, I have to find a lost phone."

"Yeah sure, what is the lost phone's number?"

"It's 614-555-7654."

The employee typed on the computer. You could here his fingers on the keyboard. I wanted to go on the computer and figure out where she was myself.

"I'm guessing you guys aren't from here." The employee said trying to make small talk.

"Yeah we are from Illinois."

"Oh cool. Well the phone seems to be in Galveston. It's on the move right now. So someone has it. Do you want to lock the phone or...?"

"No, can you just keep us updated of where the phone is?" I interrupted.

"Yeah sure."

"Alright I'll call you on your personal phone." I told him. I got his phone number and left the store.
