Chapter 16

Alanzo's P.O.V.

I heard a loud thud from the restroom and went to go check on Mai. She was on the floor blacked out. I rushed to her and picked her up. I quickly went to the pack doctor.

"Hey I need you to help her! Now!" I yelled.

The pack doctor quickly guided me to a room and let me put Mai on the bed. The doctor started to check Mai.

"Um....uh."

"What? What's wrong?"

"I don't know. I never seen this before. Her eyes are wide open now and she's breathing just fine. All her check ups came out clear. I don't know what's going on."

I ran my hands through my hair. I don't know what to do. Who could help me in this situation. Talia! I mind linked Talia. "Hey I need you to come to the pack doctor quick!"

"Ok." Within a minute she was here.

"What's going on?"

"Talia is fine but she blacked out earlier and now her eyes are open and she's breathing. But she still hasn't talked to us or anything."

"And do you know what's going on?"

"No the pack doctor said that she has never seen anything like it before."

"Maybe you should talk to the moon goddess."

"That's impossible. I can't talk to the moon goddess."

"Yes you can. Just use your teleportation and imagine that you're in a cold place, with a patch of green grass in the middle with a big gold fountain. But first grab Mai because she's the only one that can do that but I think that if you have her in your hand, you can do it too."

I followed her rules. I picked Mai up bridal styles and started thinking of that place. I closed my eyes and really concentrated. Suddenly, I felt really cold. I opened my eyes and I was in the cold.

I looked around and behind me was the patch of green grass and a big gold fountain in the middle. I went over there and put Mai on the grass by that fountain.

I didn't know what to do so I just sat on the side of the fountain. I put some of the fountain water on Mai thinking that would work but it didn't. I ran my hand through my hair again.

"Ugh! I don't know what to do!" I yelled to the sky. I then felt thirsty and got some water from the fountain.

"Hello Alanzo, never thought that I would talk to you."

I turned around and saw the moon goddess. "Whoa! It's you!" I said amazed.

"Why yes it is. Now how did you get here and why are you talking to me?"

"Well Mai isn't right. Like she is fine and everything but it's liked her brain is paralyzed. Her eyes are wide open but she hasn't talked to us or anything. I'm just worried."

"Oh lord. I didn't know it would happen this fast." She went to Mai's side.

"What are you talking about?"

"Well Mai has a duty and she needs to be as strong as ever. But she hasn't fully mated yet so she is slowly losing power. When she is fully mated she will be the strongest of all werewolves."

"Well how am I suppose to mate with her when she's like this and when she doesn't give me permission to."

"Did you feed her the water from the fountain because that could snap her out of it."

I felt stupid. What would throwing water on someone do for you? I slapped my forehead.

I got some water and put it in Mai's mouth. She swallowed on her own and then she started to blink. She coughed like she just choked on something but she really didn't. She sat up and looked around. "How did I get here?"

"Alanzo brought you here."

How did he do that?"

"I had the help of Talia." I blushed.

"I felt like I was gonna die. I was just in a black area and I was slowly dying."

"I was just explaining that to Alanzo. You guys have to complete the mating process or this will keep happening and sooner or later you will lose all your power and die."

"Well that's a nice way to put it." I scuffed.

"I'm sorry but I have to be blunt I. This situation so you guys can get it through your head."

"So when does this process have to be finished?" Mai asked.

"By tomorrow night."

"Okay I think I can do it by then."

"Wait, are you sure? You can't just be rushed into these type of things it's really serious." I asked.

"Yes I am. We are mates. It was bound to happen anyways so why not do it know."

" I guess you're right."

"Alright so you guys need to go do that and Alanzo, I need you to bring Mai up on what's going on and you need to bring all the packs in the world together and get ready for what's coming."

"Yes ma'am."

"Alright kiddos, go do your duty and I will see you two later." The moon goddess then disappeared.

"Are you ready Mai?" I asked her.

"As ready as I'll ever be."

"Alright, let's go."

We held each other's hands and went back to our room. I sat on the bed thinking of everything that just happened.

"Are you alright Alanzo?" Mai asked.

"Yeah, I just don't want you to feel like you're rushed to do this."

"Well I am rushed but I'm ready. I want to be with you forever anyways. Your not just my mate, I love you. Even with what happened in your past or what happened with us, I still love you. I just hope you feel the same way." she was hugging me from behind.

I turned around and brung her to my lap. "I do. I really do. I love you more than you could ever imagine. I just want what's best for you."

I kissed her and she started kissing back. I laid her down in the bed. "You ready?" I asked.

"Ready as ever." She said huskily.

This night has to be the most magical night of all.
