Chapter 3

Mai's P.O.V.

Talia and I were on our way down to dinner. I was wearing one of my floral dresses and Talia wore her black dress. We also planned to go out to the club after dinner so that's why we are getting so dressed up.

We walked down the stairs to the dining room. It seems like the table is bigger with 38 people sitting there. Everyone looked at us and Talia went frigid.

"Hey! Talia and Mai! I'm so glad that y'all came to visit us." My mom said hugging us.

"Hey ma!" I hugged back.

"Talia, what's wrong sweetie?" Mom asked Tali.

She didn't answer but was just standing stiff, staring at someone. I followed her gaze and she was looking at this guy that was also staring at her.

"Uh...Tali, what's going on?" I asked her.

"M-m-mate." She stuttered.

"Good! Right? Why aren't you happy?"

"H-h-he's my ex?"

"Oh." I looked at the guy and he had nothing but guilt on his face.

"Can we skip out on dinner?" Talia asked.

"Of course Honey, we can hang out tomorrow." My mom hugged us again and gave Talia a look of sympathy. Talia grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the dining room.

"Let's go have some fun." Talia said.

Talia's P.O.V.

I can't believe that my ex is my mate. He was my first love but then he cheated on me. When I found him fucking some bitch I ran away and never seen him til now.

Mai and I drove to the nearest club. I parked the car. The line to the club was really long but I was too angry to wait so I just went to the bouncer.

"Sorry ladies but you have to go to the back." The bald bouncer said

I looked at Mai, telling her to use her alpha voice. "Sir, let us in now." Mai commanded.

He bowed his head,"Yes ma'am." He let us through and we went inside.

I dragged Mai to the bar,"Can we get six shots of Jack?"

"Anything for a pretty lady." The bartender winked at me. I blushed. He placed the shots in front of us. We each downed three shots.

"Let's go dance." Mai yelled over the music. She dragged me to the dance floor and we started dancing.

I began dancing. I let the Jack get to me. Suddenly some guy was behind me. I grinded on him. I could feel his little friend but I didn't care. I wanted to get that bastard out of my head.

"Wanna go somewhere private?" The random guy asked.

"Um no thank you. I have to go find my friend." I left the guy and walked to the other side of the dance floor where Mai was.

I started dancing again. Another guy came behind me,"You're so beautiful." He whispered in my ear.

I started grinding on him even more and I heard a growl. I ignored it. I felt the guy get pulled away from me. I turned around and saw Daniel with the guy in his hand.

"What are you doing with this guy?" He gritted through his teeth.

"None ooof youuur businessss." I slurred.

He threw the guy to the side and walked up to me,"Have you been drinking?"

"No! Me? I don't drink. Talia does not drink." I played around.

He growled again,"We're leaving." He grabbed my arm.

I snatched my arm out of his grip,"I don't want to go home with you. I'll go find Mai." I walked away. I could feel his eyes on the back of my head.

I found Mai talking to a group of guys like they were the best of buds. I'm jealous of Mai. Everyone likes her. She is like so easy to get along with and then she gets to have alpha command. I don't know why she doesn't want anyone to know that she's a werewolf. Nothing is going to happen to her. It will be like a normal day.

I walked up to Mai,"Mai! Let's go! I want to go night night!" I hugged her. I heard some chuckles behind me.

"Alright Tali, I'll drive us home. Let's go. I'll see you guys tomorrow."

"Bye." I heard a chorus of voices say.

Mai helped me walking out of the club. I almost fell a couple of times. Good thing Mai was here.

"Let me help you to the car." I heard that bastard, Daniel, ask Mai.

"No! We don't need his help Mai." I told Mai.

"Sorry Tali but I can't carry you by myself." Mai apologized.

Suddenly I felt sparks on my left arm then on my back. Now they are all over my body. I felt him pick me up. I was so comfortable. I snuggled into his chest and fell asleep.

Mai's P.O.V.

I shouldn't have left Tali. I feel very bad now but I met some people from this pack. I planned to hang out with them tomorrow.

I looked in my rearview mirror and saw Tali sleeping peacefully on Daniel. He was looking at her with love in his eyes. I have always longed for that look to be towards me. I want my mate.

I looked back at the road. A tear decided to slip out. I hate that I have to hide myself from others.

"Can we just show ourselfs to others? They can't do anything anyways. We have alpha command." Athena tried to convince me.

"Sorry but I can't take any chances." Athena started whimpering again.

I parked the car and went straight to the library. I needed to look for some legends about white werewolves.

I got to the library and there was an old lady there,"How may I help you?" She asked.

"Are there any books talking about the legend of white werewolves? I just heard a story about them and I wanted to do more research on them." I told her.

She smiled,"Yeah right over here." She handed me this big book.

"Is it alright if I take it to my room?"

"Yes Honey, as long as you give it back sooner or later."

"Thank you so much." I ran out the library, straight to my room, and shut the door.

"Now let's figure out what I'm all about."
