Chapter 18

Mai's P.O.V.

We all got home and went our separate ways. "Mai, I'll help you with your make up after I get dressed." Talia told me. "Alright." I went upstairs to Alanzo's room, well our room. I heard the shower on so that must have been Alanzo. I went to the bathroom down the hall to take a shower and shave.

After I finished my shower, I noticed that I didn't bring any clothes with me. I mean I know I'm stupid sometimes but why now. So I wrapped a towel around me and quickly ran to my room. Wet feet and wood floors don't work with each other. I feel causing the towel to come loose leaving my butt in full view. "Well that was a nice view but I rather see it just in the bedroom." I looked up and it was just Alanzo. I let out a sigh of relief that it wasn't anyone else. "Oh shut up. You could at least help me up." He chuckled and helped me up. "I love seeing you beaked and all but why are you naked in the hallway?" He said getting slightly angry. "Why does me being naked even matter?" He ran a hand through his hair and sighed in frustration. "Because other men can see you."

I then hugged him, "Don't worry about that. I'm pretty sure no one will attract me more than you."

"Duh, cause I'm Alanzo. Nobody is better than Alanzo. Alanzo is the best."

"Why is Alanzo speaking in third person?"

"Because Alanzo thinks it seems cooler."

"No it makes you seem arrogant and cocky. Nobody likes that." He then chuckled. "True it does." We then walked into the room. "Alright I'm gonna change now and you need to get out." I told Alanzo. "Why? Can't I just watch or help you?"

"No because if that happens other things will happen and we will never leave this room."

"And what's wrong with that?"

"Alanzo!" I called his name out in frustration.

"Alright alright I'm leaving See you at the ceremony." He gave me a quick kiss and left out.

I quickly changed into my dress and found some heels to go with it. They were clear so they could go along with anything. Five minutes later Talia comes busting through the door, "Are you ready to get beat?" Yeah I was confused the first time I heard it too. I thought she was gonna actually beat me up but what she meant was do my make up. People with their weird terms these days. "Just come on so we can get this over with." I told her. "Okay, what crawled up your butt and died and came back to life and is still living in your butt?" I was trying not to laugh at what Talia said.

"Okay you out too much into that but I'm just ready to get this ceremony over with. There's going to be a lot of things to do afterwards and I don't know if I should be scared or not."

"You need to be brave for everyone. You and Alanzo are our only hope. All werewolves around the world need you." Talia said while she started on my makes up. "Yeah you're right."

"I know I am. Now I need to do your hair." I don't know how she does my make up so fast but she does. It's crazy. The good thing is that it still looks good.

We sat in silence as she was doing my hair. I think she is just flat ironing it to show my full length. My hair goes down to half of my back. Not a lot of people know that because when my hair is natural it shrivels up making it look shorter. "Girl you need to straighten your hair more cause you look too cute. And it's long as fuck."

I laughed, "I guess I'll start doing that then.

"Well I'm finished. I'm gonna go find Daniel and wait with him. See ya."

"Bye."

I waited in the room. Sitting on the bed. Then a pain hit me. I felt it in my heart. I fell to the floor. I don't know what wrong with me. I started screaming. Then suddenly the pain stopped. "I'm sorry but decided to give you a new addition." The moon goddess told me.

"What do you mean a new addition?" I asked her.

"I have decided that you'll need more than Alanzo's help with this so I gave you more mates."

"More? What do you mean more? What about Alanzo? How would he feel about this?"

"He is their mates also. He experienced the pain with you. And by more I mean just one. I should have worded it better huh?"

"So when will I find this mate?"

"Whenever you go to the ceremony tonight there will be ally packs there and one of the betas from a pack will be your mate. You will sense this when you are on stage."

"Okay then. Since I can't fight it, might as well go with it."

"Thank you Mai for understanding. Now I have to go. Remember you can always talk to me about anything for I am your mother."

My mother? "Wait!" I said but it was too late she was already gone.

I left the room to go find Alanzo. Apparently he was doing the same. "Are you alright? Are you hurt? Do you know what happened?" We asked in unison.

"I'm fine, but do you know the reason why this happened?" Alanzo asked me. "We have a new mate."

"What do you mean new mate?"

"Well the moon goddess said that I'm gonna need more help and that he will be able to help us."

He ran a hand through his hair. "I guess we are just gonna have to find him. We can't fight against the moon goddess' decision."

"Thank you for understanding. Now let's get this ceremony started." Alanzo and I walked to the backyard and went inside this huge tent that held Alanzo's whole pack and other packs. We went straight to the stage to get it over with. "Ladies and gentleman, will you please give your full attention to the Alpha and the Luna." Someone announced on the microphone. I'm guessing it was someone who helped plan this thing.

Alanzo stepped up to the microphone and started talking, "Hello, I'm Alpha Alanzo and this beautiful lady standing beside me is your new Luna Mai." He stopped as everyone clapped. "We are here tonight to accept a few people into the pack. By few I mean a whole lot. So we will be here for a while. I'm gonna accept my beautiful mate first." Alanzo pulled two knifes out of pocket and gave one to me. We both cut out hand and immediately joined them before we healed. I then felt a rush of voices come into my head. "She's so lucky." "She's so pretty." "She's a whore." "I'd tap that." I completely ignored the last two. "Welcome our new Luna to the East River Pack!" There was a loud applause and people hooping and hollering.

Alanzo did that to everyone of my family and friends. At the end when he was about to welcome all of my family and friends into the pack a smell hit me. I look towards the smell but I didn't see anyone. I went towards the smell and seen a man flirting with a slut. I looked back at Alanzo and saw that he was fuming too but was trying to hide it since he was on stage. I gave him a nod to tell him to hurry up and end it.

Alanzo ended it and quickly came over to me. "What should we do?" I asked him.

"We should drag him to our room and talk to him. That way we'll have fun out of it and scare the shit out of him." Alanzo suggested.

"Good idea."

We walked up to the slut and my new mate. "Hello bitch but we're gonna have to take him real quick. Go fuck someone else, thank you." We picked up the man. I had him by his feet and Alanzo had him by his shoulders. "What are you guys doing? Sto- oh fuck." He said then shut up. He must of found out that we were mates.

We made it up to our room and dropped him on the ground. I was feeling kind of sad but I think he deserved it for flirting with some slut.

"Time for the interrogation." Alanzo said then he turned of all the lights.
