Chapter 24

Alanzo's P.O.V.

I can't believe it. My father is gone. He's gone forever. I won't see him anymore. I can't get any advice from him. I can no longer talk to him. A tear escaped and I dropped to my knees by my fathers lifeless body. More tears started to stream down my face. I've never cried this hard in my life. I felt two pair of arms around me. I instantly felt the sparks and knew that my mates were holding me. "I'm so sorry Alanzo," Mai said while sobbing, "I didn't mean for this to happen. All of this is my fault." She blamed herself.

I whipped my tears away and hugged her. "It isn't your fault. It happens. You didn't plan for him to die." I told her.

He sat there hugging for the longest. I wish I knew a way to get rid of this depressing feeling. I looked around at the gloomy crowd around us. I saw my sister crying with a bunch of pack members hugging her. I see Talia and Daniel hugging each other with tears in their eyes. Mai's family is looking at us with pain. I can see that it hurts them to see my father dead. They were starting to get close since they were basically family.

My father would always bring the positive things out of situations. He would try anything to make everyone happy. As you seen, he didn't wait for me to come home to meet my mate, he linked me to come see her. He has been trying to help me find her ever since I was eighteen. He was the best father ever. When mother died, he had a downfall. He stayed in his room and didn't talk to anyone. He later came out and apologized to everyone. I loved him and I hope he knew that.

I thought about my father and I knew that he would want everyone to be happy. I mean at least he doesn't have to live in this horrid world anymore. He doesn't have to worry about anything anymore. Now he's in a more peaceful place.

I stood up, "Everyone! Do not cry. My father wouldn't want this to be happening. He would want us to be happy that he is living peacefully now. We should all be happy for him and carry on with our lives as they were. I'm not saying forget about him, I'm saying remember him for his good qualities and live by them." Everyone started clapping. I grabbed Winston and Mai off the floor and took them to our room. We all deserved a good sleep.

**The Next Day**

I woke up and both of my mates were still asleep. I walked to the restroom and did those morning things everyone does. After that I went to the balcony to get some fresh air. I felt someone rub my back.

"Did you sleep okay?" Mai asked me. "Eh it was exceptional."

"Same."

We then stood there in silence.

"Well thanks for inviting me to come outside with you guys. It's very nice of my MATES to do that." Winston said jokingly. Both Mai and I chuckled. "We didn't want to wake up sleeping beauty because we didn't want the monster to come out." I told him. "I'm only a monster when there is no reason to wake up. This right here is a reason. It's mate bonding time." He joined us in a hug and we were just looking at the scenery in silence.

"So what do we do now?" Mai asked.

"Yeah, what do we do?" Winston asked me.

"We do what we planned to do. Build our family, help the pack, and be happy."

They both smiled in agreement and we went back to looking out.

Well this seems to be the end of this book. It was fun while it lasted. I feel like I wrote more than just these chapters but I guess not.

I'm writing an epilogue and its gonna be friggin long.
