Chapter 8

Mai's P.O.V.

I woke up to something around me and reflexes decided to elbow the person in the face. I heard a groan. I then noticed that it was Alanzo that I just elbowed.

I quickly sat up and checked Alanzo to see if he was bleeding. "Are you okay Alanzo?"

"Uh yeah. I guess. I think I'm bleeding." He got out of bed holding his nose.

"I'm so sorry." I apologized.

"Whoever taught you how to do that, needs to come teach my pack."

"Well I think he will be grateful to do that. He always wanted to teach more than his children."

Alanzo looked at me suspiciously, "And who is this 'he'?"

I thought about that question and laughed. I would have never thought that I was talking about another guy. "I'm talking about my dad. I did say 'he always wanted to teach more than his children.'"

His cheeks grew red, "I k-knew that."

"Alright enough talking, lets get you all fixed up." I mind linked the doctor here and told her to come to the Alpha's room.

"Are we going to get help?" Alanzo asked.

"Help should be on the way. I'm so sorry I didn't mean to make you bleed. I owe you something now."

"I'll think of what you owe me. All you have to do is make sure that I get help."

"I said help is on the way." Just then the doctor came in.

"What happened?" She asked.

"My reflexes acted up and I guess they wanted to hit Alanzo's nose." I did an awkward smile.

She went over to Alanzo and got a napkin to put on his nose. "I'm glad that you called me but what I'm wondering is how you did it?" She said while working on Alanzo. "You have to be in our pack to mind link me and you're not in this pack."

"Oh well maybe I have special powers." I joked and did an awkward laugh. "I have to go look for my friends. I'll be right back."

I basically ran upstairs looking for Talia and Daniel's room. After three minutes of running and knocking on random doors I found them. "Hey Mai! What's up?" Talia asked, opening the door.

"I'm in serious doodoo right now."

She got worried, "Why? What happened?"

"This morning when I woke up, I got scared and elbowed Alanzo. His nose started bleeding and he needed help. I contacted the doctor and she came in minimal time. While she was working on him she asked me how did I contact her. I was like I might have super powers or something but I meant to say it as a joke. I did an awkward laugh and saw how weirdly they looked at me. Then I ran up here." I said in one breathe almost losing air. I gasped for air.

"Well, first, breathe! Second, don't mind link anyone else yet until you tell him about it." She slapped my arm. "That was for your idiotic action you did."

Daniel finally came up,"Hey Mai."

"Hey Daniel, how are you?"

"Fine, but how come you only get to have powers? Why can't result wolves get powers?"

I was confused. How did Daniel know about me? I looked at Talia and she was looking everywhere but me.

"How did you know I had powers?" He pointed at Talia, looking a little frightened.

She looked up, "I'm sorry. He needed to know. He is with us from now on and if he doesn't know it would seem stupid." She reasoned.

"I guess that's a good point but let me know when you do it." I slapped her arm.

"So is my question going to be answered?"

"Be quiet Daniel! We have bigger problems than your petty questions." I blurted out my frustration at him.

He put his hands up in surrender, "I'm sorry. I was just wondering. I didn't mean to get on your bad side."

"Sorry, I'm just frustrated. I don't know what to do."

"Just mind link the doctor and command her to not speak about it ever again until you say so." Talia suggested.

"No! I can't do that. That is too mean."

"Fine! Just go back there and have them ask you again. I'm pretty sure everything will be alright then." She said sarcastically.

"Okay, okay. No need to get sarcastic. I'll do that. And you guys need to get your asses down here." I left their room and mind linked the doctor.

"Don't talk about how I mind linked you to anyone. Not even the alpha. I will explain in due time but if you disobey me you will be severely punished." I used my alpha command on her.

"Y-y-y-yes m-m-ma'a-am. I w-will not d-disobey y-y-you." She stuttered in fear.

"Thank you." I cut the mind link off and walked back to Alanzo's room. I heard the shower running so I guessed Alanzo was in the shower.

I went back to my room to change clothes. I wore a white dress with small black polka dots around it. For my shoes I just wore flats and I didn't feel like putting any make up on so I went natural.

I left my room and went to the dining room. The whole pack was in the dining room. Even Talia and Daniel were here. I went to go sit at the only open seat which was by Alanzo.

"Hey, where did you go earlier?" He asked me when I sat down.

"I just went to go check on Talia and Daniel. I barely saw them yesterday so I went to go make sure that they were okay."

He smiled, "Cool." Just then the servers came out and served us our breakfast. We had pancakes, oatmeal, hash brown, eggs, bacon, and sausage.

I was so hungry. I didn't even wait for the others to start eating, I went ahead and started to dig in. I heard some laughter at the table but I ignored it because my hunger was more important.

I finished my plate in record time which was five minutes. I wiped my mouth with a napkin and finally looked up. Guys and some girls were looking at me in awe, some girls looked at me with disgust, Talia looked like she was proud of me, and Alanzo looked like he was shocked.

"How did you finish that fast?" He asked. Shock still written in his face.

"Well when I'm hungry, I'm hungry. There is no such thing as slow eating when I'm starving. I like to eat my food fast."

"Don't you choke on it?" Some girl asked from down the table.

"Nope, never had and never will."

Everybody tried to shake it off and eat there food. Ypu could tell they were still shocked because they are their food slowly. I'm guessing they were trying to process everything.

"I'm going to my room real quick, is that okay?" I asked Alanzo.

"Yeah, that's fine."

I left the table and went to the rooftop. I wanted to get things through my head. Like, do I want Alanzo to be apart of this? What if he would want to keep me away from my duty? I can't let him do that. I need to help the werewolves species.

I think I have made my final decision.

I ran down to my room and packed all of my things. I decided to use my teleportation because it would be a faster way to get out of here.

I teleported to Galveston, Tx. It seemed like I would have a less chance to get discovered there than anywhere else.

I went to a hotel named Gaidos and booked a room. I went into my room and laid on the bed. I was tired so I took a nap. In the middle of my nap I heard whimpering. It sounded like it was Alanzo's wolf. It made me think.
