Chapter 18

I hadn't seen any sign of Aaron or the flashbacks for a month now. Thank god! Nick had become my...friend i guess. I still find it hard to trust anyone, but i feel like i can trust him completley. And i don't know why. Every time i was away from him, i missed him and couldn't stop thinking about him. We had 5 classes togther. Math, English, History, Science and P.E, which is now my study time.

Every other day (Tuesday, Thursday) we had only hours 1,3,5 and 7 on Tuesday, and it lasted all day, then on Thursday, we had ours 2,4,6 and 8. It was...nice sometimes, but it also kinda sucked. But anyways, Nick and i would do everything together. And we were parners in everything also. We had study hall together too. I guess we were kinda inseperable. So inseperable, that some people thought that were dating. But we weren't.

"Heyyyyyyy gurl!!!" Nick exclaimed when he plopped down next to me on the floor. We were in my bedroom, getting ready to study for the PSACT tomorrow, and since we lived 2 houses apart, we decided to study together. My parents didn't mind if i had Nick over, after all, they have met him a lot, and have had him over for dinner sometimes.

"So...u ready for some studying?" Nick asked in a TV show host voice. "Lets do it!!" I yelled with enthusiasm. I had so much energy, and was pumped for studying.

1 hour later, i was falling asleep and Nick kept on having to wake me up. "You didn't have any cofee did you?" He asked. "Niiiiicccckkkk!!! You know that i hate cofee! It makes me feel sick!" I answered in an exasperated voice. "I know i know! How could i forget? U loathe the drink!" He said, laughing.

We finished studying successfully 2 hours later, and it was already 9:00. "You want to watch a movie together?" I asked Nick. " I mean, we have time." "Sure. What do you want to watch?" He answered. "Ummmm...how about...Grown-ups 2?" I asked. "Oh My God. I love that movie!!!it's so hilarious!! Lets totally watch it!" He answered in a girly voice. "Oh shut up!" I laughed, as i set up the movie. "But before we start the movie, i just want to say something." Nick stated in a serious voice. "Sure. What is it?"

"You, are an awesome woman. You have managed to get through your tragedy, and have let me in. You, are, amazing. And don't let anyone tell you different. You mean so much to me Sequoia. And i wouldn't be able to live if i lost you. But, i will always be there for you, even at 1:00 in the morning, when you have a bad dream. " He chuckled. "Remember that."

I was shocked, and at the same time, happy. Wow. That's...nice. "Well...same goes for me. You can tell me anything, and i will always be there for you too. And, you are a brilliant, attractive, funny, caring guy, and so many other things." I said, smiling. "Well, we got that settled!" He chirped happily. "Yep!" I answered.

20 minutes later, we were fast asleep on the top of my bed. I had my head on top of his shoulder, with my hand snug in his. It was the happiest i have been since "that day", and i would never forget that night.
