After going to Zio's, the five of us crashed at my place. We picked out 4 movies to watch which were: "The Grudge", "The Shining", "The Conjuring" and lastly, "If I Stay". I was sitting with Nick on my bed, Mitch on my couch and Will and Cassie on my pull-out bed. We all had Coke and Dr.Pepper with choclate ice cream and popcorn. Yes, this was EVERY saturday night. We usually played a game of "Who Can Stay Up Longer", and of course, Cassie and i were the first ones to fall asleep. But with this much scary movies, only Cassie, Nick and I stayed up. Then we got to If I Stay, and Cassie was knocked out in the first 30 minutes of the movie with Will lating down behind her with his arms around her waist. They looked so cute together!!!

Nick was sitting criss-cross with his back against my headboard, and i had my head in his lap holding a pillow to my chest. Nick had his arms around me, and my eyes were getting heavy with every blink. Finally, i fell asleep, and it was bliss.

I woke up at somewhere around 4:00 in the morning because i needed to go to the bathroom, and realized that i only had two hours of sleep since i fell asleep at 2:00 AM. Oh well. I'm going to back to sleep anyways. I thought, dismissing the time. When i left the bathroom, i decided to get a glass of water and plodded downstairs to the kitchen.

When i got downstairs, i walked sleepily to the cabinets with the cups in it and got a glass. I filled up my cup with water and ice and started my groggy trek back up the stairs.

When i got back to my room, i put my glass on my desk and sighed in releif. Oh thank GOD i have friends that are neat freaks! My friends knew that i didn't like messes, plus, they were neat freaks, so my room was still clean. There was no popcorn or ice cream on the floor, and no trash laying around or clothes, which was a relief. My room was pretty big now that we had torn down the wall leading to the closet that used to be used by everyone, which now was mine. And, my room was just re-furnished, re-painted, and now i have a real wood floor. It was awesome. My walls were light blue with white trim and quotes painted everywhere. But, there was still space for more quotes that i liked and wanted on my wall. I had hanged up a few posters also. I had a "fireplace" looking border on my left wall which was where my desk was, and on that "fireplace"(it wasn't really a fireplace, but since it looks like it, that's what i call it) i had put decorative lights that you put on Christmas trees, on the top, with pictures from my Polaroid camera strung up on a string above it. I had posted drawings, pictures and ribbons on a billboard above it also. It looked awesome.

The rest of my room was pretty plain. There was a wooden dresser with my mirror on the wall by my door. And there was my bed, a Queen bed that had a pull out bed underneath it, and a nightstand that was easily moved to the side for the pull-out bed. Lastly, there was my small couch that also could be turned into a bed.

After setting my glass down and gazing at my friend's sleeping forms, i went out onto my balcony. I breathed in the cool, night air as i leaned on the railing. I then climed into the tree in front of my balcony and sat there for a bit. Then, i heard something playing in the distance. It sounded like a song, but a sad one. It sounded like...what? THAT song? Why-why that song? I thought quizzically. That was Aaron's and my song...I thought sadly. I immediately started swaying and singing to the words. The song was called: "The Moon Song" by the Hound and the Fox. I knew the words by heart because of many times of singing it with Aaron. He would sing the guy's part, and i would sing the girl's. We blended perfectly. We even sang together for a school talent show, and we OWNED it. I chuckled at the memory.

But then i heard another voice. A voice down the street. It was coming from Aaron's house. The voice was a guy's voice, and it sounded exactly like Aaron's voice. I saw a figure walking up the street towards me, and i noticed that it was the guy that moved into Aaron's house no more than a week ago. I never really payed much attention to what he looked like, but his figure, build and walk was exactly like Aaron's. How is that even possible? But when he got closer, i could see his face more clearly. He didn't look like Aaron at all.

I snapped back into reality, and saw that he was looking straight at me. "Hey, you know this song?" He asked, his voice sounding deep and smooth. "U-uh, yeah. I...i know every word." I replied nervously. "Wow! That's awesome! Its my favorite song. What about you? Is it your favorite too? Since you know all the words?" He asked. "Yeah. It is actually." I said slowly. "Oh, gosh, where are my manners?! I'm Evan." He said, holding out his hand to shake mine eventhough i was so high up that we couldn't even shake hands. "Sequoia..." I said hesitantly, while climbing down to shake Evan's hand and to see him more clearly.

When i got down, i saw his eyes look me up and down quickly, and i realized with embarrassment that i was wearing a red taintop with no bra and boxer shorts with soccerballs on them. Oops i thought sheepishly.

I shook Evan's outstretched hand and it felt warm and firm. It was somewhat comforting. "Well...you probably already know, but i moved into that house" Evan said, pointing to Aaron's house across the street. "Uhh yeah. I know." I said in a tight voice, cringing at the thought of some stranger living in Aaron's house. "Where do you go to school? I go to Souix West." He asked. "So do I." I replied with a warm smile. "Oh cool! I start school on Monday. Do you think that you could show me around mabye?" Evan asked expectantly. "Uhhh...sure...my friends could help too i guess." I said. "Awesome!" Evan exclaimed.

"Well, i should be going back to sleep now. And so should you, Sequoia." Evan said, while stepping back. "Yeah. See ya around i guess." I replied, also taking a step back. Then, Evan turned around and walked to Aaron's house, well, former house, whistling "The Moon Song" along the way.

I smiled, shaking my head and climed back up my tree and onto my balcony, ending in snuggling up under my bed covers next to Nick. The last thought that went through my mind before i drifted off to sleep again was that Evan's eyes were exactly like Aaron's eyes. And it felt like i had lost myself in his choclate brown irises once again. I hadn't had that feeling in so long.
"I love you, Sequoia Lee March, undoubtedly, utterly and unconditionally in love with you. I love you. And I always will."
