Chapter Three

"Sequoia? Sequoia. . . SEQUOIA! " "AHHHH!!! WHAT?" "You zoned out again." "Oh, well I was just in deep thought, but I told you specifically NOT to shout my name when it seems like I've zoned out! You know that!" I said to cat, one of my best friends. "Okay, okay, but seriously you need to stop zoning out! It is sooooo annoying!"Cat said in a whiny voice. "Pshhhh whatever" I said in a partly annoyed voice, but also playful voice. I then took a deep breath and walked to my locker. I have to face him sometime in my life... I reassured myself as i walked closer and closer to my locker and the mystery guy in my dreams.

"Hi" "what? Hi- hi me?" I stutter as the mystery guy looks at me. " well I am looking at you and talking to you." I was so lost in his hazel-green eyes that I almost missed what he said. "What? Huh- OH! Uh yeah, I- I guess..." by then, the guy was looking at me with questioning eyes, probably wondering why I was acting this way. "Sorry, its just- I am so ready for the weekend that I sometimes zone out or my brain falls asleep for a few seconds... or minutes... so yeah."

"Akward!" One of my friends named Aaron said as he passed by me. "Shut up! Gosh!, quit being so nosy!" I said in an embarrassed voice as I felt my cheeks heat up. "Anyway, my name is Mark. And I'm guessing that your name is Seqouia?" "Yeah..." I said in a distracted voice. I was thinking about the guy's name, it sounded familiar. Like a distant memory fighting its way to the surface of my mind. RINNNNNNGGGGG, the 2 minute bell brought me back to reality from my deep thinking. "C'mon Sequoia! Get your things and lets go! Times a wastin!!!" My friend Cat said as she walked past Mark and made a rowwwr sound as she walked past. Then, juat when i thought things couldn't get more embarrasing, Cat whispered something in Mark's ear, and they burst out laughing and pointed at my face.

"what?!?" I said in a confused voice. Then, Cat answered my question."Haha, it's just that your face is soooo red! Ah it's getting redder!! Hahaha!" I felt my cheeks getting hotter and hotter as the heat spred across my face. I watched Mark and Cat double over in laughter, and i felt a bit annoyed and then i realized that i only had 1 more minute untill class started. I then shut my locker and ran to class leaving behind Cat and Mark.
