I felt so much
That I started to feel... Nothing------------------------
"Alright enough of it. I should be leaving by now", she spoke pulling away from him. He surprisingly let her go as well.
"I am going to my home as well this week", she told him walking past him only for him to hold her wrist and pull her closer to him.
"When are you going to stop calling that place your home?", he asked her as she frowned.
"Swami, I told you many times that I don't consider your house as my home", she told him sweetly but he knew she was mocking him by calling him Swami.
"And I have told thousands of times to not consider the same", he told her as she sighed before biting her lower lip.
"I don't want to fight over this pity thing right now. I need to enjoy myself right now", she said staring dreamily in space.
"Enjoy yourself? How may I ask?", He asked as she stared at him with a small pout which unknowingly came on her face.
"Of course, it's not like I am going to commit murder and am scared to tell you the details. Reema Chachi asked me to see the mall nearby and I am dying to do some shopping for so long. The last time, I went shopping was when I have to buy my wedding lehenga and it was like 2 months before our marriage", she said with a sigh.
"I didn't know you were a girl who loved shopping", he said walking to his table and getting his wallet.
"Not actually shopping shopping but window shopping", she said curiously about his leaving like this. He took his phone before putting his wallet in his pants pocket.
"You going somewhere?", she asked as he reached her.
"Now I can't let my wife roam around a new city alone. You don't know anything about this place. Also, we need to visit my village in a couple of days, you need to do the shopping for that and I am going to accompany you", he said making her frown. She knew she was not aware of this place and need a person who could show her around but again she was feeling uncomfortable roaming around with him.
"The security won't be there right?", she asked wishing he would say no to that.
"It is important, Maya. Especially when you are there with me", he told her as she nodded still thinking if she should deny his offer.
"But you didn't even have your lunch", she pointed.
"You had yours?", he asked as she nodded.
"Okay, I'll just have it and then we'll leave", he told sitting on his seat and having his food while she made a checklist of what she wants. After he was done they made their way outside.
He felt her coming closer to him when his employee stared at him. He knew she was uncomfortable but was good at showing otherwise.
Her eyes traveled to observe Dipika's face and she was burning. She felt calmness in her heart as they reached the ground floor. He opened the door for her making her comfortable before taking his seat. He wasn't driving today which was justified with the way he was burdening himself with work these days.
They reached the mall. She jumped out of the car as he followed her wearing his shades. She found the guards following them which made her sigh.
She felt timid in the crowd as she held his bicep. She remembers she used to hold her mother's dupatta whenever they go out shopping. She felt a whirlpool of emotions hit her as soon as she remembered about her life before marriage.
