I am ready to give you anything in the world except freedom.
-Randhir
-------------------------
She was reading a magazine while sitting in front of the television eating the salad her mother prepared a few moments ago with her fork.
"Why is this television on if you are reading this magazine?", her mother asked her as Kimaya's eyes moved to her mother before falling on her magazine again eating a piece of apple while reading very carefully.
Her mother switched off the television making her whine.
"Stop", her mother told her before walking out of the room while closing the door.
Just then Kimaya's phone started vibrating which made her look at it and immediately curse inside.
"Hello", she responded softly.
"How is everything going?", Vishesh spoke making her bite her lower lip. She felt like she was cheating on Randhir by talking to him. Though they were on the verge of separation, she only saw him as her husband even now as well even though it sounded so absurd but she couldn't do anything about her heart and brain who were telling her, this all thing was very wrong.
"Good", Kimaya whispered softly looking at her magazine blankly.
"Did Randhir try to contact you?", he asked her making her froze at her place.
Of course, he did contact her with a warning to get her back. She remembers she couldn't even sleep properly since that day. When he pushed her out, she made herself believe that was her destiny but now seeing this side of him she was doubting her destiny again.
He was a powerful man no doubt.
Yesterday Raj visited them and told them the same. Randhir was being too silent for the last week.
This made her feel strangely sad as well that he had given up on them.
She sighed before clutching the bedsheet.
"I guess not. He doesn't want anything to do with you. You must know this already", Vishesh spoke making her hum. He knew where to hit at the right moment. But he knew if Randhir started interrupting in between them then there is no future for Kimaya and him.
He is well aware of Randhir's wittiness.
He couldn't help but feel scared to lose Kimaya again.
"Vishesh, Mumma is calling me. I will speak to you later", Kimaya said making him hum in response before hanging up.
She looked at the phone as her eyes started clouding with tears.
"Why did you do this?", she asked looking at her engagement ring as tears rolled down her cheek.
"I can understand your reason but not my family. This thing went too ahead. From our fight, it turned into a family enmity", she whispered wiping her tears.
"Kimi, Bring oil and comb", her mother called from the living room making her wipe her tears properly standing up from the bed walking out to her mother with the necessity.
"Show me your face", her mother said cupping her face as Kimaya looked at her mother.
"Were you crying?", her mother asked making her shake her head.
"Come I'll massage your head", she spoke making Kimaya sit in front of her before putting oil in her long hair.
"You should eat more properly, Kimi. You look so weak", her mother said making her hum.
