It was Kimaya's cousin brother's marriage. It was also the time when Randhir was going to visit her home after so long. She was nervous but a little bit hopeful that once everybody looks at Avyukt, they would try to forget about the past happenings.
Though they were going directly to the marriage in the farmhouse because Avyukt gets hard to handle when a lot of strangers are around him.
She looked out of the window seeing the known buildings passing away as they approached closer to the farmhouse.
"What is going on in your mind?", Randhir asked her still having his eyes on the road while Avyukt continued sleeping in her arms holding her hair in a tight grip.
"Nothing really. Everything is just blank", she sighed looking at him making him nod.
"Do you think taking Avu with us is right?", she asked him after a minute but he chose to remain silent for some time.
"Yukt is our son. It's not like he is only my son or he is only your son. They have a right to see their grandson", Randhir spoke making her nod.
"I know but Tauji was really upset when we got together. It was Taiji's brother's son with whom my marriage was being discussed at that time", she tried to make him remember.
"I don't know why were they being so quick in marrying you to somebody else. It wasn't like I was going to leave you", he spoke changing the gear.
"At that time, I myself thought there was nothing much left in our relationship", she whispered which made him turn to her making her go silent immediately.
"I just want you to have patience. I don't know how everybody is going to react seeing you", she spoke as he drove inside the parking of the farmhouse. She could hear the loud music from inside making her sigh.
She was really nervous to face everybody as she moved out of the car with Avyukt in her arms. Randhir got down as well taking him from her arms as she picked up the bouquet from the backseat.
She took a deep breath before looking at her husband who looked calmer than ever as they moved inside the venue. She held his hand unknowingly as they found some of the known faces looking at her.
Soon her eyes fall on her mother who was talking to her father currently.
Her steps took her close to them themself. Her parents looked at her immediately stopping their conversation. It's been so long since they saw her.
Her mother took a step toward her but before that Kimaya threw her arms around her mother hugging her tightly.
"Kimi", her mother whispered trying to calm her daughter down. Her father caressed her hair making her close her eyes in relief.
"Ma", Kimaya heard her son's voice as she finally pulled away from the hug. Avyukt was looking at her with a frown. Kimaya looked at her mother who was looking at him only with a small smile.
A teary union was what Kimaya needed to get her glow back as she looked at her husband who was busy on a call as usual. Why was he always so busy?
She looked at her mother who was talking to her son who was looking at her with all his attention. Her father unexpectedly was warm towards him.
She moved to Randhir as his eyes immediately moved to her before raising his eyebrows.
"I will talk to you later", he spoke before hanging up.
"I am really happy. It wasn't that difficult after all", Kimaya spoke looking back at Avyukt again.
"They are your parents, Maya. They can never hate you and for that matter, nobody can hate you", he spoke tapping her cheek and making her blush slightly before nodding.
