Sang looked back, her shoulder-length hair whipping around her chin. She had been running from McCoy for a while and had gotten lost on the way to her cabin. She had never been out before, not even for the regular health checks given to the other girls in her cabin. She knew something was wrong, she just didn't know what. She finally found her cabin and, with a nod to the PSF standing guard, walked in. The girls were, on impulse, lined up in the middle of the cabin, and as they saw the door close they visibly relaxed. Only Jessica was brave enough to move closer to Sang.
"Get what we organized we leave now" Sang hissed, and at Jessica's wave towards the other girls, sighed and said, "does anyone want to come with us we are escaping". None of the girls said anything so she assumed it was a no. Striding towards the door, Sang pulled it open and placed her bare hand on the PSF's bare neck. His memories immediately came flooding in and Sang only needed to force the image that every girl was there and none missing when he did his nightly counts. Waving Jessica forwards, she shoved the glove she always wore on her hand and ran out into the night.
Most of the night was a blur, but bits and pieces made their way back to her. She was shot early on and the bullet grazed her arm, but Jessica pulled her forwards. They stumbled through the forests surrounding the dark buildings and barbed wire of Thurmond. They were finally free.
after hours of searching, they found a road with a lone car still running at the side of the road. sang saw it as a bad omen, but Jessica was tired and hungry, so reluctantly the girls went towards the car. before they could reach the car though, two older girls of around 26 popped up from behind the car, raising their guns. Jessica ran towards them, not caring about the guns pointing at their faces. "Emily!! Courtney!! You came!! Did someone send you to find us? please say someone did we need help!!" looking at Courtney, Emily moved aside and with a quick hug for Jessica, allowed them entry to the car. Sang never needed to talk, Jessica was prepared to tell the tale of their escape and reveal their whole backstory, to Sang's annoyance.
The last thing Sang heard was Jessica saying her name before she fainted, needle poking out of her arm. Emily had put her to sleep.
