"Father!"

Recap:

“I don’t th-.”

“You called?”

Present

SiZhui’s POV

A handsome man was standing before me and XiaoYu, no, that’s an understatement. This man was beautiful… not as beautiful as my dad…

*looks at XiaoYu* ehem

But beautiful nonetheless.

He had soft yet defined features. Long flowing black hair a trademark of most Lans, tall but fit build, thin lips, a high nose and eyes as blue as the ice around us. I bet his glare alone could cut anyone but as cold as his eyes may look it cannot hide the kindness that overflows from it.

As I stared at this man it dawned on me who he was and my eyes grew wide.

“You’re-!”

“Lan Lan!” XiaoYu threw himself at him.

I panicked.

“XiaoYu! Be respectful.”

“It’s okay. Don’t worry.” Lan An smiled reassuringly.

“Founder. It’s an honor to meet you.” I kowtowed to pay my respect to him.

“It’s my honor Wen Yuan.”

That startled me. I haven’t told anyone about that yet. Not even JingYi. Now XiaoYu’s going to think I’m a bad person.

“Wen?” He asked confused.

“No… Dad…I’m not… I…”

I began to panic. The ringing in my hear was getting louder as my breath became laboured.

I can’t breathe.

I…

“SiZhui!”

No please I’m not a bad person.

Dad… I’m sorry…

“A-Yuan!”

Someone grabbed my face and I tried to concentrate on the person before me.

“Dad.” I sobbed uncontrollably.

XiaoYu’s POV

I could see the panicked look on SiZhui’s face. He can’t even hear me.

Is it because Lan Lan called him Wen Yuan? But isn’t he a Lan?

Wait…

Oh…no…

It dawned on me as to why he was panicking.

I grabbed his face and called out to him.

“A-Yuan!”

His eyes trying to focus on mine as tears fell from them.

“Dad…”

What?

“A-Yuan relax. It’s okay.” I smiled at him.

“You’re okay. You did nothing wrong. I’m right here.”

I began stroking his hair to calm him down which he eventually did.

A few sobs escaped from his lips, he held on to me tight, as if I would disappear if he didn’t.
