THE ADVERSE

The sun shined bright in the clear sky with warm breeze lifting your cloaks in the air.

"It was a fun day,un! Right (y/n)-Chan...?"

Deidara lifted his straw hat gazing towards you as you both walk slowly in the forest.

You nodded your head with a warm smile," sure it was!"

Both of you had a really good time together, you completed your mission assigned by Pain and thankfully there was no blood shed or any spar.

Your cheeks got dusty pink at numerous time on the way back when your mind started to get lost in the memory of Itachi kissing you. Deidara was noticing the glow on your face but didn't bother to ask because he was too busy admiring your beauty.

"You're the perfect partner!! I will look forward to have more missions with you, (y/n) " Deidara complemented your teamwork.

You just smiled back at him as you continued to walk. The hair on the back of your neck stood up when your senses detected a third person presence.

You halted in your tracks and quickly grabbed Deidara's wrist to make him stop as well. He looked towards you and with your expressions he quickly decoded the matter and started to look around.

"(Y/n)....." Deidara whispered and he swung you behind him.

You turned on your Ketsuryūgan and searched the trees. You throat choked a little when you counted.

"They are 14 Konoha Anbus....." you said in low voice.

"They haven't arrived yet....."

Pain slowly moved out of the Akatsuki hideout and stood between Itachi and Konan. Itachi didn't say anything but his heart beat was really fast from the last two hours.

Konan was there to comfort Itachi and joined him for the lookout.

"I'm getting a little worried now...." Konan remarked.

Itachi frowned as his agitation was getting bigger and moved away from both of them.

Pain looked at Konan," let's wait few more hours.... if they won't come back then I will send Zetsu to extract Deidara's body..... I'm pretty sure that Konoha Ninja has killed him and escaped......"

"Ahhhhhh!!!!!!"

You stabbed the last standing ANBU in his chest and you both hit the ground. You tried to turn your face to the other side to check on Deidara but he was laying still from last 45 minutes.

"Dei-..."

A flash of pain struck your heavily injured body as you slowly drag yourself towards your partner.

"Deidara...." you whispered and tried to shake his body. You could sense faint breathing but he was badly wounded and couldn't respond anymore.

"Oh.. Damn it!" You cursed to yourself and looked around to make sure you don't have any enemy left.

There were only thirteen bodies on the ground and you had a bad feeling that the last one had escaped.
Anyways, you took few minutes to gather whatever energy is left inside you and gave Deidara your shoulder and exited as fast as you could.
