Stella's P.O.V

According to Jasper's assistant, the next step we had to do was slowly become public. Though there was no paparazzi at the beach, his assistant snuck a picture of the two of us before sending it to the tabloids which were out by the next day. Although, I didn't see how this was subtle.

"So how is blasting this all over the media considered slow?" I asked Jasper as I called him on my break at work.

"The media is talking about a mystery woman now. A couple more outings and we will finally make it official as you as my girlfriend," Jasper said.

"My family will freak out if they know I have a millionaire of a boyfriend without telling them," I mention.

"And I will treat them to a dinner to express how sorry I am for keeping our relationship a secret," Jasper chuckled.

"That may win their heart," I sighed.

"Look, why don't we talk more at my place? I can cook us dinner and we can talk over some wine," Jasper offered.

"You can cook?"

"On occasion yes."

"Oh wow. Um, I'm not sure. I still have work tomorrow," I mentioned.

"You should consider putting in your two weeks. I can support you."

"It feels so early to be your sugar baby. I was gonna wait until we get quote on quote, engaged," I tell him.

"Well, you won't have to wait for a proposal for long. Once we have dinner with our families, we'll bring them together for another dinner and I will announce our engagement," Jasper told me.

"Okay. That sounds fine."

"Have you thought about the wedding?"

"Wedding?"

"We're gonna need to have a wedding you know," Jasper chuckled.

"I haven't put much thought into it yet. I have to go back to work. I'll see you tonight."

"Perfect. I'll send you the address."

"See you then. Bye."

"Goodbye."

I hung up on my phone before walking back into the bookstore. Luckily the store was in an outdoor mall. I quickly clocked back in and went back to work.

After my shift at work, I headed back to my apartment and quickly changed into something nicer. When I walked out of my room, I saw Daisy walk inside the apartment.

"Where are you going so fancy?" She asked me.

"I'm going on a date," I mentioned.

"A date?"

"Yeah. With that guy, I met at the bar in Vegas," I mentioned.

"He lives in California as well?"

"Yeah. Surprising right?" I asked her.
