Stella's P.O.V
"Lessons on how to look and act proper?" I asked Jasper. I sat on one of his office chairs as he told me what I needed to do to get ready to meet his family.
Lessons on how to look and act properly? You've got to be kidding me.
"It's nothing personal. My family always has expectations and since they are old money, they do tend to act a little..."
"Snobbish? No offense."
"None taken. But yes. My parents were close to bribing a college on letting my sisters in," Jasper told me.
"Really?"
"I convinced them not to. They're successful in their modeling career so far, I told them why go when they're doing just fine," Jasper told me.
"They do know it's also a crime to do that right?" I asked.
"Yes. That's why I convinced them not to do it," Jasper told me.
"Jasper. I need to take Stella to her lessons already," Gwen said as she walked over.
"Right. Take care of her okay," Jasper told Gwen.
"A little offended that you think I won't," Gwen smirked.
"Thank you," Jasper said, ignoring her comment. Jasper lifted my hand and kissed the top of it. I blushed a little before following Gwen over to the car.
"Here is our schedule before your dinner with Jasper's family. We will be doing the lessons every day for two hours and we will be going shopping for a dress for the dinner," Gwen tells me as she looked down at her iPad.
"I'm surprised you're not the one to marry Jasper. You seem to be the better match for him," I mentioned.
"Oh please. I wouldn't even swing for his gender even if it was for a million bucks," Gwen scoffed.
"You're gay?" I asked.
"Yes. You should've seen the look on his face when I told him," Gwen chuckled to herself.
"How long have you been working with Jasper?" I asked.
"Five years. To be honest, I'm surprised."
"How so?"
"I've never seen him so interested in a woman before until you," Gwen told me.
"Really?"
"Yes. He's had his flings here and there but he seems to have an interest with you."
I leaned back against my seat and thought about what she said. Was Jasper really interested in me?
"We're here," Gwen said. The driver got out of the car first before opening the door for us.
"Follow me," Gwen said. I nodded as we walked inside a small building. There was a fact table set up as well as an open floor I looked around while Gwen greeted a woman who came out of a room.
"Stella, this is Madame Kingsley. She will be your etiquette teacher," Gwen introduced.
"Pleasure to meet you, Madame Kingsley," I smiled.
"Pleasure. We'll start off with posture and table etiquette for today. You will be tested at the end of your lessons," Madame Kingsley told me.
"Yes ma'am."
"Please take a seat on the table."
I'll spare all the "glorious" details of what I had to do. In all honesty, it was boring and I felt awkward that I got most of everything wrong at first. After the lessons, Gwen and I got back into the car before driving over to a dress shop nearby.
"All of these dresses are designer. So try on a few and see which ones you like," Gwen told me.
"Okay."
I looked through the dresses and each one was beautiful as well as the other. It felt hard for me to choose just one. I grabbed my top five before bringing them over to the dressing room.
I tried on each dress before trying on the last one. It felt right as I stared at myself in the mirror. I did a small twirl before staring at myself in the mirror. I felt like Cinderella.
"Found one yet?" Gwen asked me. I walked out of the dressing room in the dress.
"What do you think?" I asked her.
"It looks good. I think Jasper will like it too," Gwen told me.
"I really like it," I tell her.
"Good. Though we may need to get it tailored a little. It's fine. We have enough time in our schedule. Go ahead and get changed into your clothes again. We're going to meet with Jasper for lunch before I drop you off home."
"Okay."
After we paid for the dress, we headed back into the car before the driver headed over to a restaurant. I walked in with Gwen before following her over to a table. I saw Jasper standing in a room as he was on the phone. He looked over at us after Gwen knocked on the wall to get his attention.
"I got to go. I will call you later," Jasper said before hanging up the phone.
"Were we interrupting?" I asked.
"No. I was just setting up something. Did you find a dress?" Jasper asked me.
"Yeah."
"Did you like it?"
"I love it. It's a really pretty dress," I tell him.
"You'll like it when you see it," Gwen tells Jasper as she sat down. Jasper and I joined her at the table.
"We do need to get the dress tailored but other than that, it's good to go. After her next etiquette lesson, we're gonna go get the dress tailored," Gwen tells Jasper.
"Good. Did you book the restaurant?"
"Yup. A private room with a good view."
"Perfect."
"And we need to find an event that you both will need to attend to announce your relationship," Gwen said.
"I believe there's an art gallery show coming up soon. I was thinking of getting a new art piece for the living room for my penthouse in New York," Jasper tells her.
"Okay good. I'll get the tickets for that then."
"You have a penthouse in New York?" I asked Jasper.
"Yeah. I will talk to you about New York later," Jasper told me. I nodded at him before looking down at the menu. New York. Will Jasper and I live there soon?
