Maleia's POV
It was already an hour passed when Levi sent me home. I didn't expect he's that gentleman but at the same time arrogant guy vibe. I've been telling him that it was not a date, and he would just nod for agreement. I was really shocked when he gave me the barrette.
I was sitting on my bed, staring at the barrette he gave me when I heard a knock on the door.
"Mom and Dad's downstairs. Go down." Clyde just peeped on the door and closed it again.
Napatalon ako pababa ng bed. I kept the barrette inside it's box and put it on one of my vanity dresser's drawer. Tumatakbo ako at parang batang nagmamadali pababa. My parents was gone for a week for business trip in Australia , I missed them na.
"Mom!!!!! Dad!!!" Nagmadali pako kahit pababa ako ng hagdan , giggling and smiling towards them.
"Careful, honey." Banta ni mommy but she's smiling and opened her arms to give me a hug. I hugged mom tightly then looked at dad. He also opened his arms wide to hug us both.
"You all prepare, we'll go to your Tita Kath and Tito Chad's house. They prepared dinner." Dad said before going upstairs.
I heard kuya Caleb sigh but no choice but to go with us. I looked at Kai turning off the TV, prolly him and Alannis watching some series earlier.
"Sis!" Ali grab my arms and cling it to mine. "Let's go! Bihis na tayo!" I nodded and she even shared some scenes na pinanood nila while we are going to our rooms.
I wore a brown sleeveless top and a tight checkerd skirt. I brought a cardigan with me in case it's cold out there.
Our relatives house is just the same subdivision though, that's why we live here. We have strong family ties kaya we always have family events even big or just a simple one.
Natapos naman ako agad kaya bumaba nako to wait for them sa living room. Andun na sila except kina mom and dad. I sat beside Clyde while he's busy with his phone. Sinamaan naman ako ng tingin ni Kuya Caleb.
"Maleia, wear my hoodie." He handed me his hoodie.
"I brought my cardigan Kuya." I even showed it to him , wala na siyang nagawa but to wear his hoodie.
"You guys ready? Tara na. They're waiting. We'll use the van nalang. Caleb you drive." utos ni mom. Nakasunod lang din si Daddy sa kanya.
Dad sat in front with Kuya Caleb . Me, mom and Clyde on the first row and Kai with Alannis at the back.
"Did you like our pasalubongs?" Mom uttered while fixing my hair. Pushing it at the back that results to showing my collar bones more.
"I haven't opened it yet mom. For sure I would like it." I assured Mom. Everytime they came back from there trips, they would always bring something for us.
"Kaiser?" Dad said, his eyes still fixed in front.
"Yes, dad?" Nahagip ng mata ko na napalingon din si mom kay daddy.
"You're not taking care of your sister carefully? Anong nangyari at malapit na naman siyang ma aksidente?" My dad's voice is deep kaya nakakatakot siyang magalit. I closed my eyes dahil ayaw kong napapagalitan yung mga kapatid ko dahil sakin.
"Hon! Stop it! It's not Kaiser or anyone's fault. It was an accident." Lumingon pa si mom kay Kai sa likod.
"What happened with the motorcyle driver? Did you find him?" Seryosong boses ni daddy. Napalunok naman ako. The driver who almost hit me.
"Yes dad, police found him. Buti nalang namemorize ni Levi yung plate number." I looked by the window. Nakikinig lang ako sa kanila. Hanga din ako kay Levi, everything happened so fast pero nakuha niya pa yung plate number.
