Mina had always sensed that her reflection in the mirror was more than just an image. From a young age, she had heard the old wives' tale about mirrors being portals to another world. Little did she know, this tale was more than just a story. 

Now, cursed to live a double life as her evil reflection after the tale turns deadly, Mina must discover if love can help her break free from her fate or if her evil side will prevail.

Mina stood across the bed, frozen in place, holding a knife. She stared at Sana, her girlfriend, who was sound asleep, completely unaware of the danger she was in.

"No, I can't do it." Mina whispered, her voice trembling.

"You can, and you will." Sharon's cold voice echoed in her mind.

"She's a distraction, and if we don't get rid of her, she will be the death of us."

"You mean the death of you? That will be for the best. I need to get rid of you, not her!" Mina exclaimed, defensively gazing at the giant bedroom mirror.

"She's my savior, my love, and the light of my life." Mina glanced at Sana's sleeping form, her eyes filled with compassion and guilt.

"You are a plague in this world." Mina shifted her gaze to the mirror. "Without Sana, you would have taken over my life a long time ago, and I would have been truly lost. I can't murder someone who accepts me as I am. She loves me despite the fact that I live a double life."

Just as Mina ended her sentence, Sharon appeared in front of her, as transparent as a ghost. Mina attempted to fight her, but their grip on the knife was too powerful. She felt Sharon take control of her body.

"The more you fight me, the slower her death will be." Sharon cast a glance towards Sana.

"I will wash away the love you feel for her and replace it with pain—her pain of an excruciating death and yours for taking the most important thing in your life. You should not have gone against me."

Those were Sharon's final words before entirely taking over Mina's body, clutching the knife tightly as she walked slowly to the woman asleep on the bed.

FLASHBACK
[Five months earlier]

Myoui Mina was a dedicated professional in the medical field. She was respected, loyal, and worked tirelessly every day.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Chae." Mina said, bidding her colleague goodbye before exiting the cafeteria.

"Where are you off to so early? You usually stay overnight. Do you have a hot date?" Chaeyoung teased.

"Please, as if I have the time. Today marks the beginning of a new era in my life." Mina smiled.

"Yes, indeed. Today is moving day. I'm sure you're relieved to finally have your own space. Best wishes, Minari." Chaeyoung grinned.

Mina's new home was a bit run-down, but after some cleaning and decorating, it felt cozy. Despite having enough money for a new house, Mina chose to live in her grandfather's old place. She had spent her entire childhood there. After school, while her parents were at work, her grandfather would look after her, filling the home with laughter.
