The morning of her 18th birthday, nothing feels that much different for Im Nayeon. She still has a stack of homework to finish, her family is still very far away, and she still doesn't give a damn about it all.
That's why this day doesn't feel as special to Nayeon as it should.

She gets out of bed, quickly changing out of her pajamas to her training clothes. Before heading out of her room, she quickly brushes her teeth. Nayeon headed towards the deck she uses as a training ground with Jihyo. As soon as she arrives, Nayeon's expression changes. Her mentor has this weird smile plastered on her face like she wants to say something, but not sure if she should.

"Just say what you want to say." Nayeon rolls her eyes.

"Happy birthday, Nayeon-sshi." Jihyo widely smiles.

"Thank you, Ji. Now can we get to training?" Nayeon forces a smile, nodding at her mentor's greeting.

They trained for the next hour, and Jihyo noticed how Nayeon fought a little aggressive today, though neither of them mentioned it. After their training session, Nayeon has just enough time to head back to her room to shower before breakfast.

Soon after walking into her room, Nayeon slams the door behind her. She mutters a quick spell to lock it as she walks to the bathroom. As the hot water touches her skin, Nayeon closes her eyes. Reaching for the shampoo, something catches her eyes. There was a black ink tattooed on her right collarbone. Nayeon panics as she quickly washed herself as fast as possible and steps out of the shower.

Standing in front of the mirror, her eyes widen. Even though the image of the letters are reversed, Nayeon can perfectly read the name on her skin.

Myoui Mina.

In a blink of of an eye, Nayeon was already walking through the hallways leading to Jihyo's office. She feels the eyes of her peers on her, just like every time she walks in the halls. Those stares used to be caused by her being the badass Im Nayeon. Now, they were all caused by her being Im Nayeon, the powerful hybrid, daughter of the most despised villain in their history books. When a stare is too insistent, Nayeon glares and then it's over.

When she reaches the Headmaster's office, Nayeon didn't bother to knock as she enters the room. Once closing the door, she casted a silencing spell just to make sure no one would have the idea to eavesdrop.

"Can you tell me why Myoui Mina's name appeared on my collarbone?" Nayeon crossed her arms, suddenly feeling defensive.

"What do you mean?" Jihyo frowns.

"Mina's name is written in a beautiful handwriting on my skin. It's black and looks like a tattoo. Do you think it could be a spell or something?" Nayeon spoke with panic.

Jihyo was in deep thought for a moment as she moves around her desk and walks over to Nayeon.

"I have no idea what this is. I think we should meet with Dahyun in the library. She'll probably know something about this." Jihyo said, staring at the ink on her friend's collarbone.

As they both pass the common room, walking towards the library, Mina along with her Japanese friends looked at them. Nayeon tries to avoid eye contact, but her eyes seem to have a mind of its own, because suddenly she's looking back at the Black Swan. When their eyes lock together, Mina has the kindness to address a little smile as Nayeon smiles back.
