You want us to what?” Tasei nearly shouted, his eyes wide in disbelief. In the room, stood over two hundred elites from the Japan Branch of the Unknown Passcodes. They all looked at Decipher as if he had grown a second head.

The Yakuza boss shook his head, his index finger and thumb pressed against the bridge of his nose. “I said, don’t interfere with the upcoming battle between me and All For One.”

“But— but why?” Mietto inquired, worry etched onto her face. She folded her arms, eyebrows knitting together. It was quite obvious that the mother figure didn’t approve of his plan.

Decipher sighed. “Knowing him, he would attempt to kidnap one of our members — most likely someone I’m close to…” his eyes trailed on everyone in the room, lingering on Mietto for a moment longer. “I don’t need that weakness, not amid a ferocious battle such as this one.”

“…We understand,” Mietto said, lowering her head.

Tasei switched his disbelieving gaze to her. “We do?”

“Tasei, drop it.” Decipher demanded fiercely, immediately shutting the man up.

Decipher lowered his gaze to the pristine floor, narrowing his eyes. I hope… no one gets injured.

Tears slipped from Mietto’s eyes as she witnessed her adoptive son lay motionless. Her fingers dug into the ground, but the rest of her body refused to move.

Get up, she told herself, gritting her teeth in frustration when her body didn’t heed her command. Please… Izuku needs me…

Mietto’s ears rung, her head still pounding from the torture she was put through when she got captured. It seemed as though the League knew her Quirk, as they constantly blasted loud music into her ears while they beated her senselessly. Yet despite her severe injuries, Mietto couldn’t care less.

At the moment, all she desired was to help her son. The light of her life, the ray of sunshine that adorned her bloodstained world. He was bleeding out on the concrete ground, carmine liquid pooling below his unmoving body.

He was dying… he was dying, and all Mietto could do was watch. He was dying, and it was her fault. Izuku warned them to avoid getting captured, but she got taken anyway.

Mietto reached out, trying to grasp and pull him into her arms. She needed to feel his warmth, hear his heartbeat, get reassurance that he was alive. But the longer she stared at Izuku’s stationary body, the light in her eyes slowly dulled.

Izuku…

Please, Izuku…

“What a shame,” All For One — that sadistic bastard — said. He raised his hand, a long rectangle protruding from his fingertips. He aimed it at Izuku, and Mietto felt her heart clench.

He’s going to kill Izuku, Mietto inferred. I have to stop him!

“NO!” Another voice — All Might — yelled. The pro hero leapt into action, getting between the villain and Izuku. All Might sent a devastating blow to All For One’s gut, sending him flying. The pro hero huffed, his chest heaving with exhaustion.

“Izuku…” Mietto whimpered. All Might turned to look at her, his gaze full of pity for the young woman.

“Don’t worry, I’ll get your son back—” All Might paused. “You are his mother, aren’t you?”
