Recovery Girl's Office

Izuku’s eyes fluttered open and saw an unfamiliar white ceiling. He sat up on the bed and inspected his surroundings.

A hospital? Izuku tried to recall his last moments before he passed out. When he placed his hand on his forehead, he noticed the bandages wrapped around his hands. That's right, I protected Uraraka...What was I thinking? I'm not a hero...

“Ah, Midoriya, you’re awake.” An old and feminine voice said. Izuku directed his gaze to an old woman that had just walked in through the door.

Shuzenji Chiyo. A short, elderly woman with grey hair styled into a netted bun, a large syringe poking diagonally out of it to the left. Additionally, she walks with a cane designed like a syringe that she can also use for healing the injured.

“Hm, Recovery Girl?” Izuku mumbled, observing the old woman. She smiled and nodded. Though, her smile disappeared as soon as it appeared.

“What were you thinking? You’re too reckless!” Chiyo berated, smacking Izuku upside his head. “You had second-degree burns all over your hands!”

“I-It’s the drawback of my quirk...” Izuku complained, rubbing his head. “Uraraka would be much more injured than I was if I had just ignored her!”

Chiyo sighed. “Yes, I suppose so. Though, I expect you to not get this injured from today onwards!” Izuku only nodded and got up from the bed.

“Ah, wait. Before you go, someone wants to talk to you," Izuku looked confused as Chiyo hurried to the door. She opened it and gestured for someone to come inside. Toshinori walked in and smiled at Izuku.

Isn’t that...All Might? Izuku’s eyes widened as he tensed. What could All Might possibly want with me?

“Is something wrong, my boy?” Toshinori asked. Izuku hastily shook his head and stared at the man.

“Midoriya, meet Toshinori Yagi.” Chiyo introduced, gesturing to Toshinori. Izuku nodded, forcing a smile to grace his soft lips.

“N-Nice to meet you, Mr Yagi!” Izuku exclaimed with as much enthusiasm as he could muster as he bowed.

“Likewise, young Midoriya,” Toshinori bowed as well.

“Recovery Girl said you wanted to speak to me?” Izuku questioned, genuinely confused as to what the number one hero wanted with him.

“Ah, yes. Please, sit down. I have a lot of explaining to do,” Izuku nodded and sat back down on the bed, followed by Toshinori. Chiyo left the room to provide privacy for the two.

The blond hero explained his hero career, the injury that destroyed his lung and stomach, and One For All. Izuku already knew everything, but just nodded along while acting shocked to avoid looking suspicious. After a while, he knew what Toshinori wanted him to do but, he would feel guilty if he took One For All. Despite Izuku being a yakuza boss, he has a heart unlike most.

The one-sided conversation ended with Toshinori requesting for Izuku to take his power. The greenette could only look down, not wanting to meet the pro hero’s blue eyes.

“I appreciate the offer, Mr Yagi, but I’m not aiming to become a hero.” Izuku admitted, keeping his head low. The statement shocked the blond. “Give your Quirk to someone who is aiming to become a hero. Make It count, please,”

As Izuku was about to leave the room, Toshinori grabbed his wrist. “Why aren’t you aiming to become a hero?” Toshinori asked, surprising the greenette.
