(A/N: I don't own the Percy Jackson or the Heroes of Olympus series. I also do not own Paramore's Still Into You from their new album. The lyrics are italicized.)
Can't count the years on one hand that we've been together.
Annabeth had known Percy ever since they was twelve years old and now that she's twenty-two and engaged to him. So, if she bothered to count (which she did since her fiance asked her how long they had known each other) and the number turned out to be ten years. Way more than five fingers.
I need the other one to hold you. Make you feel, make you feel better.
Ever since Tartarus, yeah, Annabeth needed to comfort Percy and Percy needed to comfort her. Tatarus was way scarier than it seemed. Death around every corner (with the exception of a few allies) and actually being in Death Mist really frightened-no, terrified Annabeth.
It's not a walk the park to love each other. But, when our fingers interlock, can't deny, can't deny you're worth it.
It truly wasn't easy to love Perseus Jackson. The occasional fight and the constant nightmares took a heavy toil on Annabeth. But, whenever they laced their hands together, the feeling Annabeth receive was one that she would never get used to: safety, warmth, and love. And the fact that it happened quite frequently and that she wasn't over it was also weird. Percy was always clawing for her hand whenever they were walking side by side because he felt like she would disappear at any moment, just like in Tartarus. Annabeth felt the same.
'Cause after all of this time, I'm still into you. I should be over all the butterflies! I'm into you (I'm into you). And baby even on our worst nights, I'm into you (I'm into you). Let 'em wonder how we got this far, 'cause I really don't need to wonder at all. Yeah, after all this time, I'm still into you.
Each and every day, Annabeth wondered why she felt like she was still falling in love. But, one day, it hit her. When she woke up, the first thing she always saw was his sea green eyes boring into hers and felt his hand combing through her hair. Whenever he flashed her that lopsided smile, her heart leaped and it flipped. Whenever she was hugging him, she heard the constant thumping of his heart and it was calming. Whenever she kissed him, she could have sworn that each time she hears his breath hitch in his throat. He always kills that spider that decides to provoke Annabeth. She loved how he was always smiling and laughing and looking out for her. And whenever she was away from him, her mind never stopped dwelling on him, and she could be completely alert of what she was doing.
Recount the night that I first met your mother.
When Annabeth first met Percy's mother, her soon-to-be mother-in-law, Percy's mother shook her hand and then she hugged Annabeth, saying that Percy had told her so much about Annabeth herself and that she was glad that she finally got to meet her. Annabeth was a little shocked, but soon she hugged her back. She was only thirteen when she first met her.
And on the drive back to my house, I told you that, I told you that I loved ya.
On the way back home to their apartment one night after a date, Annabeth told Percy out of the blue that she loved him with her whole heart. Percy told her that he loved her back without hestitation.
You felt the weight of the world fall off your shoulder.
During the adventure in what is known around Camp Half-Blood as the Titan's Curse, Annabeth was forced to carry the weight of the sky. So was Artemis when the goddess came to rescue her, causing the goddess to take her burden. Percy relieved Artemis from this burden for a time. And after Atlas was placed under his burden, Percy and Annabeth shared the same streak of gray in their hair.
And to your favorite song, we sang to the start of forever.
Annabeth and Percy had a favorite song: Want You Back by the Jackson 5. They would sing it whenever they wanted to, and they danced to that song a lot too. They lip-sang to it as well, using hair brushes as microphones. They would laugh and laugh all throughout it.
One day, Percy brought Annabeth a bouquet of red roses to her. He told her that when the roses all wilted that he wold stop loving her. This troubled Annabeth for a while because the thought of him leaving her was too much to bear. Once the flowers had all wilted, one still remained untouched. Annabeth found out that the last rose wasn't real, and then she realized that it would never wilt. Percy would never stop loving her. It was the simple gesture and the selfless thought that touched her heart. When Percy walked into the room, Annabeth marched up to him, grabbed his face, and crashed her lips to his, tears leaking out from both eyes. When they pulled apart, Percy asked her what was wrong. And Annabeth answered, "Nothing. Just the thought of that you will never stop loving me is amazing."
Some things just, some things just make sense. And one of those things is you and I (hey). Some things just, some things just make sense. And even after all of this time (hey), I'm into you, baby, not day goes by that I'm not into you.
When Percy knelt down on one knee, Annabeth realized that she and him were meant to be. For the first time (and probably the last), she thanked the Fates. For bringing her and her Seaweed Brain together.
I should be over all the butterflies, I'm into you (I'm into you). And, baby on our worst nights, I'm into you (I'm into you). Let 'em wonder how we got this far, 'cause I don't need to wonder at all. Yeah, afater all this time, I'm still into you. I'm still into you. I'm still into you.
When Annabeth first heard this song, it was on a Saturday. She restarted it and paused it and set out to find her fiance. He was lounging on the couch, staring at the ceiling. She sat down next to him and she said, "I just listened to this song; I think you might like it. I reminded me of you and us as a couple." Percy cocked his eyebrow and asked, "Paramore?" Instend of answering, she put her iPod next to his ear. She pressed play. When Percy stopped listening to the song, she pulled the iPod away from his ear.
"Doesn't it remind you of us?" Annabeth asked.
"It does. Which reminds me, I've been wanting to do this." Percy replied. Percy pecked her on the lips. When he pulled away, his fiance said, "You always want to kiss me."
"But, I haven't kissed you in forever!"
"You kissed me this morning when we woke up!"
"Fine, it wasn't forever, but it felt that way."
Annabeth laughed and rolled her eyes. Percy cupped the side of her face withh his hand and brought his lips to hers. Their lips met passionately and Percy's hands wrapped around Annabeth's waist pulling her closer to him. Annabeth wrapped her hands around his neck. Their lips never parted, but it felt passionate all the same. They pulled apart when they needed air. Percy looked at his fiance and he saw how beautiful she was, even though her cheeks were flushed red. Annabeth caught him staring.
"What?" she asked.
"You know that song that you shared with me? It really is a song for us."
"You really think so?"
"Yeah because I'm still into you."
And with those words, Annabeth smiled.
(A/N: AAAWWW! WASN'T THAT CUTE OR WHAT?! The reason I made this songfic because I hadn't done any other songfics except the Taylor Swift one a few chapters back; I couldn't think of a song that screamed: "PERCABETH!!!!" until I thought of Paramore's Still Into You. Thank you for reading. Vote if you liked. Comment if you wish, Critiscism is always welcome! I'll update ASAP!!!!)
