Finding Out About a Miracle

Annabeth had been feeling terrible for past few weeks. Morning sickness and pretty much the smell of sugar could make her throw-up. Disgusting, right?

Then, one Saturday morning, Annabeth remembered that morning sickness was a symptom of.........no, it can't be.

"Percy?" Annabeth called out. "Percy?"
"Yeah?" Percy replied, stumbling down the stairs in a white t-shirt and sweats. He yawned. "What's wrong?" He rubbed his eyes.
"Do you know where the pregnancy testers are?" She asked him, scanning the kitchen. "You know, like the ones your mom gave us?" Percy fully woke up at that statement.
"Yeah, they're over here." Percy said, walking over to a cabinet and opening it.

He found the box and handed it to Annabeth. Annabeth muttered a word of thanks and walked into their bathroom. A moment later she walked out, her face pale.

"Wise Girl? What's wrong?" Percy asked, walking towards his wife.
"I-I'm-" Annabeth stuttered and he looked down on the stick she was holding in both hands. The stick had a red plus sign on it.
"I'm pregnant." Annabeth whispered. Percy stays silent, staring at the stick for a second before he hugs Annabeth tightly.
"I'm gonna be a dad!" He exclaims when he pulls away, holding her shoulders.
"You're not mad?" Annabeth asks.
"Mad? How could I be mad? My beautiful wife is going to have my kid! I'm going to be a dad!" Percy exclaimed, elation spelled out on his face. Annabeth's face broke in a grin.
"I'm going to be a mother. We're going to be parents!" Annabeth said. They hugged each other and then they walked over to their couch and flopped down on it. Percy put a hand over Annabeth's abdomen lovingly.
"The baby is going to be perfect. It's going to be our miracle." Percy whispered to her.

Annabeth nodded and they started talking about everything they needed to raise a child. They talked for hours and then they fell asleep on the couch, in each other's arms.
