Before Shane spoke a word one of my teachers across the hall made a hand gesture for Shane and I to come into class. "We should get to class." I said as I raced away and Shane followed, we both dodged her question.

I entered class and sat down near a friend, were not very close but I prefer her than anyone else in this small class.

Shane had a short conversation with the teacher and strolled over next to me and sat down casually in a stool.

Many girls surrounding me even the girl I sat by was staring at him, hearts in their eyes, sighs hoping he would be theirs to keep. I laughed softly to my self enjoying their desperate movements, I glanced over at Shane his eyes were jumping off of every girl, shooting cupids arrows at them, making a smile on their faces, jealousy pricked inside me gnawing on my skin. I ignored these feelings. Hes a player I know, I know I wont stay long with him, I know he will move on with ease.

A note was passed onto my desk. I opened it, in scraggly hand writing it said: Will you go out with me? *pass on to hot guy* --from Sarah.

I raised my head, my eyebrows knit in confusion, Sarah was pointing to Shane. I nodded slowly and wondered if I should pass this on. Shane and I shared one kiss, did it mean anything to him? I don't know. He hasn't even directly asked me out or anything beyond that....I sighed and handed Shane the note. My math teacher was too focused on speaking to realize the folded piece of paper.

He grabbed it, he opened it and read it to himself examining the paper like a rare specimen. Shane looked up to me, puzzled, and surprised at why me out of all people handed this note to him. I shrugged with a bored expression on my face. I could already read his mind, if you don't care about this relationship, then why should I? I slowly curved my back and dipped my face down, feeling as if I had made a mistake.

He scribbled something on the paper and handed it to me, curiosity was gnawing on me. . I opened it silently trying not to crinkle the paper and make noise the it said : I''ll call you babe ;) --Shane.

My heart sunk deep into the tears within me. He is just toying with my delicate emotions, but then again this might all be my fault...

I folded it back up and passed it back along to Sarah. Her whole face brightened, her mouth squared out to a smile as she bit her lip, she whipped her sunny blond hair behind her shoulder, her deep blue eyes illuminated with happiness as she wrote down her number. She tossed it back to me and I handed it to Shane with density in my chest. Shane winked at Sarah neglecting my feelings about it, her cheeks turned to a light red hue with a content smile.

It was just a silly crush....I kept repeating in my head...I meant nothing to him but another toy for entertainment.

The bell rang for passing period, my next class was science Christina is in this class with me.

She sat beside me, still dying to know who I kissed but that person doesn't mean anything to me anymore.....

She nudged me with her shoulder, "Soooo?"

"So what?" I snapped angrily.

"Ooh feisty today? And you know who I'm talking about!"

"It was...."

"Ms. Goodman, I see sitting here will be a problem, please sit in the back next to Shane." My science teacher interrupted as she hovered over me.

What?? Shane's here!? Is the thoughts that shot in my mind.

"But...but."

"Please don't argue with me." I grabbed my backpack and spotted Shane with a grimace on his face.
