The doctor left and the guys started throwing their idea at me like pelting hail; I couldn't understand what they were saying.

"Stop yelling at me!" They quieted down and Aidan spoke.

"You understand how we're supernatural beings...”

"We were thinking...” Shane cut in.

"That you could survive by...” Antonio interrupted.

"Turning into one of us." Jake finished.

I gasped.

Do I really want to cheat death, what would be the consequences of that?

Or is it that I was meant to get this parasite, so my future would be a supernatural one?

"And also whoever you choose you immediately share a bond with this person." Shane confessed, and looked almost ashamed to say it.

My jaw dropped.

"Shane, you didn't have to tell her that right now!" Aidan scolded.

"Can I please get a minute to think?" I spoke before they started arguing. Barely a minute later the door opened, I was about to yell but then my mother stepped in. "Mom!" She came in and embraced me tightly. "Where in the world have you been!?" She shushed me to lower my voice.

"I've been busy." My mother told me that she was the main reason Ressa found out Shane and I were close. She told me that she used to work with Ressa and that they somehow became friends. I couldn't believe my ears! Ressa persuaded my mother to leave for a length of time, and my mother accepted Ressa said she would inform me of everything, and that she did, but she didn't include any details about my mother!

"And honey, I'm begging you. Please accept the boys' offer."

"Mom I really don't know what to do."

"Trust your heart, who do you think does your heart belongs to?"

"What if the drug the doctor insists on me using actually works?"

"Honey, what if it doesn't?" I frowned at her lack of optimism towards my survival.

"I'm going to take my chances." I narrowed my eyes.

"No. You know you'll die." My mom’s eyes hardened.

"At least I'll be in peace. Away from all the troubles from reality, from all the sadness and the unexpected. I'll be at peace." I almost smiled just thinking about it.

"You're being selfish. Think about all the people you're leaving behind. Think about all the pain you will leave us with knowing you're forever gone!"

"Ok let’s make a deal?"

"A deal?! What kind of deal would that be daughter?"

"If the medicine doesn't work, you can choose my fate."

"It’s your life!"

"Then why can't you let me die!?" I yelled.

"Because I love you! All the guys love you, Christina loves you! Please understand we don't want you to die!"

"How about the next guy, no, the next immortal guy that walks through that door will be forever yours?" She raised her eyebrow and my jaw dropped, I lightly shook my head closing my mouth and sighed.

I took her hand in mine. "Mom, I can't decide, and I don't know if that’s the right way to decide. I don't want to die if it means I could have a chance to save myself and save everyone else from grieving my death! But I just don't know if I want to become an immortal being." I sighed. "I also can't believe I can say 'immortal being'. This is all too weird..." I looked up at my mom, boring right into her eyes. "But wherever I go I promise you, I'll be happy." I could see the tears gleam in her eyes, ready to slither out.
