They running down the hallway. Away from the riot. Hiding behind desks and holes in the walls as a few hunters run past to help. Quinn is carrying sick Emerald bridal style and Katy is balancing Roxanne on her hip. They stopped by the door with the big lit up EXIT sign. Stupid hunters. They probably needed to put this up to find the exit themselves. Quinn put his ear against the door and listened for any movement on the other side. He grinned. No ones on the other side. They opened the door and ran as fast as they can into the forest and away from the hunters. But before they ran too far Quinn suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" Katy asked.

"The necklaces. We need our necklaces" he said.

"We'll waste time going back" Katy said.

"Carry on. Here take Em. I'll meet you there" he said.

"But what if you don't?" Katy said.

She put Roxanne on the ground and took Emerald. Quinn helped Katy by picking up Roxanne and putting her on her back.

"If I make it out there and can't make it to you. I'll do my best to go to the halfway pack and give it to them. I'll ask the alpha to keep them and send a message to every pack" he said.

"What will the message be?" She asked.

"KERQ, each letter of our name, then G for got it or D for don't, then D for dead or AH for alive and hurt, then lastly S for staying or nothing if I'm not" he said.

"So KERQ G/D D/AH S/nothing" she summarized.

He nodded. Roxanne listened to them and whimpered.

"Please don't go" Roxanne whimpered again.

"I have to Roxanne. We can't survive without it" he said.

"I want to got with" she begged.

"You can't. Your mommy and daddy said you must stay safe and there's a lot of bad people there" he explained.

"Then you stay safe" Roxanne demanded.

He smiled and said, "I will".

"Quinn if we don't answer back to you in two weeks, stay there don't come looking for us. Stay there and stay alive. You need to keep alive for all the black and white wolves ok?" She said.

"Ok" he said.

He kissed Katy and Roxanne on the cheek and Roxanne squealed wiping it off. He laughed the kissed coughing Emerald on the forehead.

"Save them Katy. Don't worry about me" he said.


*** The next scene ***


An almost cured Emerald sat in a field of flowers watching Roxanne chase butterflies and Katy make her some more medicine. Katy stopped and stared in the direction they came from sadly. She has been listening to the packs for the message for five days now since they parted.

"Katy" Emerald said softly bringing her back to reality.

"Yes" she said and carried on with the medicine.

"Why did the bad man shoot mommy and daddy?" She asked innocently.

Katy made fists with hands in anger. They made Emerald watch them get shot! They are sick! She remembered Emerald is still waiting for an answer. She opened her eyes and looked at Emerald sadly. 

"I don't know. They don't like werewolves. That's why you must not tell anyone you a werewolf only if they are one but don't tell them you’re a black wolf. They'll kill you too and your mommy and daddy want you safe" she said.

"Ok" Emerald said with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Katy hugged her before giving her her medicine.


*** The next scene ***


Quinn running through the forest holding three necklaces and his around his neck. He got a cut in his side when he got caught escaping from the necklace trophy hall and its bleeding a lot. He crossed the halfway pack border and headed straight to the pack house but collapsed halfway because of the loss of blood. He felt light headed and in pain as he clutched his side.

"I smell it. It's this way" he heard someone say from a distance.

He's too drained to run and hide so he just hid the three necklaces in his pocket just in case they want to steal it. Five male teenagers, probably the pack patrol, run towards him.

"A white wolf but I thought they were extinct" the blonde said.

"Well this one will be if we don't help him" the tallest one said.

They slowly made their way towards Quinn. Not knowing if they're a threat or not, he growled at them weakly.

"Hey man, we won't hurt you. We want to help" the leader of the group said, he was the one that smelled his scent.

Quinn mumbled to them about needing to meet the alpha about a message. He let them come towards him. The last two of the group picked him up slowly. The leader walked in front, the tallest one in the rear and the blonde one made sure Quinn doesn't die. They walked past pack members in the shopping area and all of them filled with curiosity, shock and worry. Quinn smelt a lavender scent and lifted up his head. He spotted a group of girls carrying shopping bags surrounding a girl in the middle. She's a red head with autumn brown eyes and freckles. She's laughing at what her friend said then tensed as if she know who's looking at her. She sniffed the air and whimpered. Once she looked in Quinn's direction, she screamed and ran towards him, her shopping bags long forgotten. The leader stopped her from reaching him.

"Abby, what are you doing?" The leader asked blocking her.

"He's my mate" she said with tears in her eyes.

There were gasps and the leader swore.

"This situation just got worse" the tall one said from behind me.

"A lot worse. We need to hurry otherwise Abby will be mate less" the blonde one said.

They let Abby go to Quinn's side. She put his hanging head in her soft, gentle hands. Tingles erupting from their contact.

"Please don't die. Promise me" she begged as she looked into his eyes.

Quinn looked at her with sad eyes knowing he cannot promise her. She burst out crying on his chest. Her sobs echoing over the pack members heads. Then she quickly lifted her head up to face his face.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Quinn" he said softly and painfully.

"Quinn" she repeated like she's testing his name.

"Quinn, who hurt you? Was it the hunters?" She asked.

He nodded and said, "I escaped".

"Abby, what's going on?" A powerful male said behind her.

"Daddy!" She said then turned, ran over to him and hugged him with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Please save my mate, daddy" she begged.

He looked at Quinn and his condition. Her mother staring at him in shock.

"GET THE PACK DOCTOR NOW!" He ordered.

Someone ran to get the pack doctor.

"Pieter, Carter. Let him lie down" he said.

They slowly put him down on the ground. Abby sat down on his right with her mother hugging her and her father sat down next to her.

"Alpha, the pack doctor is coming" Carter said.

That got Quinn's attention. He needed to send that message.

"You're the alpha?" Quinn asked.

"Yes I am" he said.

"I need you to do me a favour" Quinn asked.

"Anything" he replied.

Quinn told him the message he needs to send for Katy, Emerald and Roxanne.

"If I die, give them this" Quinn finished by digging into his pocket and giving him the three necklaces.

"You’re not going to die" Abby said quickly.

The Alpha carefully took the necklaces and nodded, ignoring his daughter.

"Who is Katy, Roxanne and Emerald?" He asked.

"Katy and I are cousins and we helped the black alpha, Emerald's dad, and my alpha, Roxanne's dad, by escaping with them. We split up. She took them and I went to get our necklaces. I almost made it without them knowing" Quinn said.

"We can hide you here. They won't find you. I promise. You can be with your mate and you'll be happy but you need to survive ok" he said.

"Ok" Quinn said.

The pack doctor arrived and sat on his left and started working on saving him. Abby cried on her mother's shoulder.

Quinn growled when the doctor touched a place where it is extremely sore. The doctor never treated such a powerful wolf before so he was so scared. Abby tried calming her mate down but nothing worked. They couldn't give him make him unconscious because if her does there might be a possibility he never wakes again. Abby couldn't calm him down so she did what her mother told her to do. So she kissed him. He paused in shock then he kissed back not caring about then pain but he felt himself fading into darkness. Abby felt this too because she stopped kissing him.

"He's dying. Help him" Abby begged.

"I'm sorry but it's the best I can do. I never treated a white wolf before. I'm sorry, Abby" the pack doctor said.

Abby burst out crying. Quinn could only say one thing before going under.

"I love you, Abby"

Amber's POV


I woke up hoping I got to see if Quinn lives and what happens to the necklaces.

"Amber, what's wrong?" Kaiden asked waking up.

"I had another dream" I said.
