Chapter 43

Mike's POV

I woke up and fell off the bed when Katy screamed. I smelled an unfamiliar scent running towards my direction. Human. I opened the door not caring that I'm only wearing boxes and slammed the hunter against the wall. I heard in the distance my friends calling for Em, Roxxie and Quinn.

"Mike, what are you... Hunter" Yvonne said from our room.

"Where are my friends? What did you do to them?" I growled in his face.

"And what are you going to do if I don't?" He asked.

"I will rip out your intestines and strangle you with it" I sneered.

He gulped and I smirked evilly at him knowing I scared him. That was all an act. His hand got free. He slashed a knife across my face and gave me a small cut which burnt a lot. Stupid silver knives. I let go and bent over in pain.

"Mike, watch out!" Yvonne screamed.

He used the opportunity to hit me in the stomach. The air left my lungs. He hit me in the stomach until I fell on the floor but he never stopped there. He kicked me multiple times while Yvonne screamed for help and at him to stop. Don't underestimate short guys. They can fight like big guys on steroids. I saw the flash of metal in the dim lighting. He raised his hand up ready to stab me to death but someone bashed into him at the last second. Eddy. I'm so glad to see him. He killed the hunter while Yvonne came to me.

"Mike, are you ok?" She gasped when she saw blood.

"Let's get him in your room" Jayden said.

He and Ash carried me into my room and lowered me onto the bed. I hissed in pain. Yvonne quickly came to my side.

"Call the pack doctor" Yvonne said.

"She's already on her way. She was just seeing if Katy and the baby is ok. Three hunters came for her. We killed two and then the one that attacked Mike" Jayden said.

"I could've... killed him. I just wanted to... find out what they are going to do... to them" I said.

"Shh. It's ok. Don't speak" Yvonne cooed.

"That was a very daring move. No normal wolf can't survive that kind of hunter. You're very brave" Eddy said from the door.

I nodded instead of spoke. The doctor came in with Kate following. She told Kate to get a wet face cloth which she did. She carefully and slowly touched my skin with it and I hissed in pain.

"That hurt badly" Yvonne said.

"That was a minor cut. He used silver. Kate pass me my bag" she said.

Kate gave her a black, leather bag. The doctor got out a bottle and injection.

"This will knock him out for two hours. Yvonne keep on holding his hand. It will calm him down" she said.

She injected it into my arm and I felt it working immediately.

"It'll be ok. I'm going to stay right here until you wake up" Yvonne said.

That's the last thing I remembered.

I wake up and everything looked blurry then it started to clear up and I saw Yvonne above me. I smiled at her.

"Are you ok?" She asked.

I nodded but everything felt like it's in slow motion.

"The doctor said the medicine will make you still slow and funny because it is so strong. You are almost healed don't worry. Just two major ones. Good news is you're going to get a small almost invisible scar on your cheek where he cut you. It will add to your bad boy style" she told me.
