Katy's POV
Emerald and I sat in a field of flowers watching Roxanne chase butterflies and I made her some more medicine. I stopped and stared in the direction they came from sadly. Quinn hasn't come back and I'm worried. He could be hurt and I don't know. A week has passed and I still never got the message. I listen to the packs for the message for five days now since we parted.
"Katy" Emerald said softly bringing me back to reality.
"Yes" I said and carried on with the medicine.
"Why did the bad man shoot mommy and daddy?" She asked innocently.
I made fists with hands in anger. They made Emerald watch them get shot! They are sick! This is how cruel they are. I remembered Emerald is still waiting for an answer so I opened my eyes and looked at Emerald sadly.
"I don't know. They don't like werewolves. That's why you must not tell anyone you a werewolf only if they are one but don't tell them you're a black wolf. They'll kill you too and your mommy and daddy want you safe" I said.
"Ok" Emerald said with tears rolling down her cheeks.
I hugged her before giving her her medicine. Roxxie screamed and I looked up to see a rogue holding her. I growled. I might not be at full strength or have a wolf or have powers but I'm still going to kick this idiot's butt. Emerald whimpered next to me. I looked around us and saw we are surrounded. I growled louder. The Rogue let Roxxie go and she ran over to me. I drew all Emerald and Roxxie in a hug and glared at all of them.
"Two whites and one black and all girls. This is going to fun. One is feisty" the rogue who held Roxxie said.
All of them gave playful whistles.
"Excuse me. Will you please tell me your name?" I asked politely.
"Calvin. Why?" He asked.
"So I knew the name of the person I'm going to kill" I said with a smirk.
He glared at me.
"I take it back. Kill the feisty one so we can have to other submissive ones" he said.
The others nodded then started growling at me.
"Remember what I taught you. Run to the other pack across the border. I love you two" I whispered in their ears.
"Love you too" they whispered back.
I ran and killed Calvin easily then started on the others. In the corner of my eye I saw Emerald and Roxxie running. The remaining three attacked together. I got hurt a couple of times but barely noticed the pain. I just focused on them until I killed them. I felt dizzy and when onto my knees. I put my hands onto my head and then noticed where I'm hurt. I felt blood. I half crawled, half walked to the river in the opposite direction to where Roxxie and Emerald ran so I can try clean myself. When I got there I collapsed. Before I fainted I saw people in the distance.

Hunter's POV
I looked everywhere for my cousins, Katy and Quinn, hoping they escaped somehow. My mother sent me to go with Willow and Leo, my cousin's and my friends, to fetch water from the river.
"Hunter..." Leo said trailing off.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Look" Willow said pointing.
