Chapter 40

Will's POV

I finally got rid of Zac's mom. She'll never let him sleep. Only for a few minutes with the stunt we pulled.

I felt more black and white wolves cross my border so we all went outside to greet them. This is a huge group of them altogether. We greeted them and said the same things. They started chatting to Ryan, Greg, Eddy and the others about stuff so Em and I went to sit on the swinging garden benches.

"I can't wait for all of this to be over" Em sighed.

"Yeah me too. Then it will be just you, me, the crazy maniacs we call over friends and a little boy or girl of Amber and Kaiden's" I said.

She burst out laughing then put her head on my shoulder. I put my arm around her to bring her closer. We swayed back and forth and started to relax. We got interrupted by a little girl from the new group. Her blue eyes stared at us and she smiled.

"Hello my name is Carla" she said.

"Hi I'm Emerald and this is Will" Em said smiling.

I like it when she smiles. Her face lights up and eyes twinkle. She usually has a straight face like she pretends she's emotion-less. Its nice to see her not pretend.

"Can I swing with you?" She said eyes wide.

I chuckled and Em picked her up so she can sit on her lap. After a few minutes a couple came over. A white wolf and his mate frowned at Carla but she didn't get that they were angry at her.

"Daddy, Mommy! Meet my new friends" she shouted.

"Carla. I told you not to run off" the mother said.

"Sorry" Carla pouted at her dad.

I just knew she's daddy's little princess.

"Carla" her dad warned her.

"Sorry Alpha and Luna" her mom said.

"Its ok. She wasn't a nuisance" I said.

You can see them sigh in relief.

"Just call me Will and my mate, Emerald" I said.

The dad tensed when I said Em's name. The mother didn't notice.

"I'm Abby and this is my mate Quinn" she said.

Carla jumped off Em's lap and went into the arms of Abby.

"Quinn..." Em mumbled next to me.
