Chapter 10

Nikole's POV

After Em and William ran out, we went to shower. Luckily their showers won't disturb each other. You know like if you like shower when someone else is showering or you just turning a tap and they put the cold water on and you'll get hot water blah blah blah. So everyone got hot water and wonderful showers.

When I got out the shower I heard Roxxie scream so loud. I quickly put underwear and a bra on with my gown over then ran to Roxxie's room.

She was on the floor with her towel barely covering her. The boys came and quickly turned around and walked out the room. I was so embarrassed because my brother saw and chuckled before doing the same. John is so annoying and I'm sure he's going to use this against me later on but now my priority was crying Roxxie on the floor.

"Roxxie?" I called her, unsure what to do.

She kept staring at the floor. The other girls came in. They tried helping me with Roxxie but she wouldn't say anything. We all sighed in frustration.

"How about we just help her get dressed and then get her to bed. I think she needs some rest. If that doesn't work we'll call the pack doctor" Yvonne said.

"Good idea" Amber said and then when to Roxxie's cupboard to get something comfortable for Roxxie to sleep in.

Before Yvonne and me could touch her, she whimpered. We drew our hands back immediately. Before we knew it, Em screamed Roxxie's name from downstairs. I heard her running up the stairs and having a shout talk to the boys before coming in.

Worry was written all over her face. Roxxie whimpered next to me and Em rushed over. She waved her hand side to side to get Roxxie's attention. When she did, Em slowly put her hand on her forehead to check her temperature.

"She's hot" Em said.

After a few minutes Em finally got Roxxie to her feet with our help. Amber brought her clothes towards us so we can put it on. Then we carried Roxxie to her bed. Once tucked in, Roxxie slowly drifted off to sleep. I looked at Em to see tears running down her face. They must have been friends for a long time.

I had a friend like that before. Her name was Hannah. We stayed friends through thick and thin. No one could separate us. We did everything together. Until one fatal day when a rogue attacked. Hannah and me were on patrol that day. There was too many and the backup came too late. The filthy rogue bit into her neck and her wolf fell limp in his jaws. All I saw was red and I killed that killer and all his friends, that wasn't dead already, all by myself. When backup came I was surrounded by dead bodies and found crying in front of my best friend.

From that day on, I trained so hard so that no one close to me can be hurt ever again.

I hugged Em. She tensed in my arms but relaxed after a while. We separated.

"Come let's leave Roxxie to rest and get changed" Yvonne said.

We all went to our rooms. After I got dressed in my guess t-shirt and dark blue jeans, I went into Em's room. Her room was amazingly dark. It was this black and purple gothic-kind-of-look with an amazing comfy king-sized canopy bed. There was beautifully detailed furniture with this late victorian look. It has a fireplace to the side of the room and a chandelier hanging above the bed. Her room is small but cozy. I was so jealous that I was basically drooling.

"Guys, close your mouths. I don't want you drooling on my carpet" Em smirked looking in my direction.

I turned around to see Amber and Yvonne also shocked. We all looked at each other and giggled. I sat on the bed with the others still taking in the amazing room.

"So what are you guys doing here?" Em asked.

"Just wanted to see if you were ok" Amber told her.

"I'm fine" Em said sadly in a tone that says don't-want-to-talk-about-it.

We stayed silent. I was bored so much then I remembered something that happened earlier this morning.

"Em" I smiled with dragging her name playfully.

"Yes?" Em said, also dragging it out, wondering what I am going to say.

"What did you and Yvonne's brother, William, do in the woods?" I asked playfully.

She was shocked for a few seconds then the colour red flooded her cheeks so she tried to hide in her black pillows until I toke all the pillows from her and threw it onto the floor.

'Corner her' I mink-linked Yvonne and Amber.

We all surrounded her. Yvonne and Amber on the sides and me in the front.

"She's blushing" Amber said.

"What did my annoying best friend do this time? Did her kiss you or maybe a little more?" Yvonne said wiggling her eyebrows.

We all know, except Em, that Will isn't a player and he will only do 'it' with his mate but we had to get the information somehow.

"No!" Em said quickly.

"Then what?" I said.

"Nikole and Yvonne will try anyway to get that information. Give up now or forever hold your piece" Amber said smiling deviously.

"Ourwolvesboththinkwearematesandweareallconfusedthenwillsuggestedweshouldkissbutbeforewedidweheardroxxiescreamsoweneverdidit" Em quickly said. Half mumbled and half whispered.

"What did you say?" I asked confused because I did not get a word of that.

Em blushed again and shook her head.

I looked at Yvonne and said "Time for the tickle master".

Yvonne smiled before starting to tickle Em. She was laughing, squirming and screaming stop but she was out of breath.

"Surrender, Em!" I screamed over her laughing.

"I-I surrender. Pl-ease sto-stop" she said between laughs.

Yvonne stopped and Em caught her breath before sitting up blushing. I liked this side of Em. The other side was too depressing.

"Our wolves both think we are mates and we are all confused then Will suggested we should kiss but before we did we heard Roxxie scream so we never did it" Em said slowly.

We all squealed and hugged the life out of her. The boys came in all worried looking. We saw them and giggled. My handsome amazing and sweet mate, Ash and Yvonne's mate were staring at us confused while William, Zachary, Kaiden and my brother, John, were staring at this amazing dark room. We giggled again and the stopped staring at the room and looked at us confused. Yvonne decided to break the ice.

"William Derek Gray!!!!! Why didn't you tell me, YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND, that you THINK you have a MATE!!!!!!! AND that it MIGHT be EM!!!!!" she screamed.

All of them looked shocked except us girls. Will and Em got this faraway look in their eyes meaning they are mink-linking. The boys smiled from ear to ear before shouting 'yes' and fist pumping into the air. We all laughed as Will and Em got a freight.

"Hey!" Em screamed silencing us.

Then she lowered her voice into a whisper, "Roxxie is sleeping". We all forgot about poor hurt (don't know why) Roxxie opposite this room. I mouthed 'outside' and they all put their thumbs up. Then we quietly tiptoed downstairs and went outside.

We all had smiles on our faces as we hugged the might be mates. Wait might be?

"Hey guys, what does Em and Will's wolves mean by might be mates?" I said.

Our smiles fell.
