"Lord, you utterly lack grace for a face this sophisticated..." Taehyung grumbled, fishing a linen piece of clothing from his pockets to wipe the spit that Yeseul had unintentionally squirted onto his face, "Never intended to use this heirloom to wipe someone's gob off my face. Life is but a surprise, afterall."

Taking regard of Taehyung's scowl that was persistently boring through her head, Yeseul resorted to meandering her eyes to everywhere but him. Not that she had much choices. Man, as plain as it could get, looked extremely pissed off for someone to be entertaining pretentious exuberance at the moment.

It was indeed a matter of wonder how a switch in time periods— or worlds, as he had called it—had resulted in a switch in his personality as well.

"I mean, I won't say you're completely wrong either—"

"Taehyung, I've literally been running for hours now! Why in the world is it always so difficult to locate you?" Sangcheol's frustrated yelp was concomitant with his gaze that perfectly portrayed his distaste over his friend's incurable recklessness, causing the gravity around the issue to inflate to an entirely next level.

Sangcheol appeared as someone who was on the verge of thrashing Taehyung with anything that he could manage to get hold of at that moment, but what exactly followed his acerbic remark just had to be deemed as outright unpredictable for the other two persons.

"Oh, you're still with that destitute from earlier? Is she honestly friends with you? And you ask why Yeoreum is always whining like a woman who despises you despite being your fiancee. You genuinely need to reconsider your preferences, brother." If anything, Yeseul liked it a lot more when the recipient of Sangcheol's verbal attacks was Taehyung. She just could not figure out how she ended up being the center of attention out of the blue.

"Yo, what the fuck—"

"Anyway, we don't have time for that. Tension has broken out in the marketplace, and the imperial forces are supposedly arriving soon in order to dispel the chaos. I haven't gone down there yet but somehow succeeded at overhearing conversations, and I don't think it's just a rumor anymore." Sangcheol went on regardless of Yeseul's retort, his petrified eyes proving to be a cue for the latter to cave in this one time.

"Tell me you're lying— When will these people understand that being impulsive would yield nothing!" Taehyung exclaimed, mirroring the dread cast over Sangcheol's face in an effortlessly immaculate manner.

"We need to rush there quickly— before the guards, if that can be achieved— and push people back into their houses. You know what will happen if we don't, right? We can't afford to lose anymore people." Sangcheol's desperation— amplifying the effectiveness of his pleas— immediately stirred Taehyung to advance his steps in the direction that his friend was relentlessly pointing at, unexpectedly perplexing Yeseul in the process.

"Wait!" She addressed, picking up only when Taehyung had responded to her call as he pivoted himself on his heels, "I had come here to tell you something, remember? And it's just as important— What are you doing?"
