The three sat in a corner-booth at a fancy restaurant. Persephone, of course, was placed in the middle of the vampires as they pretended to eat. She noticed that they were only pushing food around their plates, but didn't comment. She didn't want to make them uncomfortable, and ruin the gentle atmosphere that had settled around the three.

When they were done, Alice paid – much to Persephone's dismay – and they all piled back into the black car that Jasper had picked Persephone up in. Persephone sat in the front, now, next to Jasper. On the way, Persephone had sat in the back and kept conversation up with Alice, but Alice wanted Jasper to have a chance to speak with Persephone, too. So, once they made it to the car, she allowed Jasper to open the passenger door and gently pushed Persephone in.

"Did you have a nice time today?" He asked, glancing at the human. She looks at him and smiles, tilting her body to face him. She rests her cheek on the headrest to watch him drive, admiring his calm demeanour.

"Yes, thank you both for today. You didn't have to pay for everything." After restraining himself all day, he could restrain himself no longer, and Jasper grabbed Persephone's hand softly. He rested their hands on top of the console between them, so that she could pull away if she wanted to.

"It was our pleasure. Thank you for coming with us." Alice watched Jasper and Persephone's interaction with soft eyes, finding that she feels complete with seeing the two of them finally showing affection. The fact that Persephone not only accepted his affection, but is now gripping his hand back gently makes her feel as if everything has fallen into place.

As their fingers move to interlock, it feels as if something in the universe has shifted, and the world is finally whole.
