Being with Alice and Jasper had finally become old news to their peers, so they were able to walk down the hallways with few stares. Of course, there were still the few people who were shocked that the Cullens would date anyone, but it had been three weeks – almost everyone had moved on to the next drama. It was a relief for Persephone to no longer be gawked at if she were to walk hand-in-hand with her partners, much like she's doing now.

"Persephone!" A familiar voice calls from behind the trio. They were walking down the hallway of school, but all turned together to face Bella. Persephone was surprised the girl had called out to her, but recalled the first few days of her life in Forks where she sat with the girl, and shook off the shock.

"Hi, Bella!" Persephone had never had anything bad to say about the Swan girl. She was quiet and kept to herself, but was also very kind and welcoming to Persephone. Persephone understood that the girl was just shy around new people, and neither made an effort to push past that – not for any reason other than lack of time, and lack of being near each other. "How are you?"

"I'm good." The girl replies, awkwardly tugging on her backpack strap. Persephone turns and kisses Alice on the cheek and squeezes Jasper's hand.

"I'll catch up." They nod and smile to Bella before walking away, and Persephone turns her attention back to the brunette. "What's up?"

Bella glances wearily at Alice and Jasper's backs, and reaches forward to tug Persephone closer.

"I need to talk to you." Persephone smiles through her confusion.

"Okay! Is this about Edward? I haven't seen him much late-" Bella interrupts her, sounding impatient.

"Not exactly. I just-" She glances again to where Alice and Jasper walked, and back to Persephone. "Come to my house after school, okay? It's important."

Persephone nods, but furrows her brows.

"Are you okay?" Again, Bella glances down the hall. Persephone fights the urge to turn and see what the girl is looking at.

"The Cullens – you know something about them, don't you?" Persephone's eyes widen and she tugs Bella's arm so that they're pressed against the wall. It's not anywhere near a private place to have this discussion, but she can't wait.

"What do you mean? Do you know something?"

"So you have noticed something."

"Bella, please." Bella sighs.

"I went to La Push beach, and I ran into an old friend. He said some.." She pauses, frowning. "Weird things about the Cullens. I don't know, it's a lot. I was hoping we could talk about it. I mean, you know them, right? You're dating two of them." Bella gives a small, awkward smile. "I was planning to research some things, you know? It'd help a lot if you could tell me what you know, too."

Persephone nods, and they exchange numbers and addresses just in time for the bell to ring. She feels a bit guilty for researching her partners' family behind their backs, but they've been dating for three weeks now and still she is not allowed at their house, and their strange behaviour hasn't changed.

She desperately wants answers, and it seems Bella is the way to get them.

i felt like an ass leaving u guys with an extra chapter. here u go. i'm trying to work out how to properly expose them, but i don't want it to be rushed.

anyways, this chapter was going to be alice and jasper arguing over if they should break up with persephone or not. i'm still not sure if i completely want to cut that, yet. be prepared, just in case.
