there was no place he didn't search for. starting with school's nursery wing, back to their neighborhood, sua was nowhere to be found. haruto sighed and continued walking, he checked his phone, "did she even take her phone?"
he dialled her number, "pick up for god's sake", there was no reply. he walked slowly to the isolated burnt cultivation area to hear some barks, and a cry. haruto recognized her voice and looked around, he walked carefully towards the direction.

what he saw from afar was wild dogs gathered around, "shit-", it was idiotic to go there without any weapons, haruto went back and called a resident of that area. he lit up his wooden stick and they both walked down towards to the dogs who ran away. haruto saw a small figurine shivering. he sighed and walked towards her, she didn't want to open her eyes, her glasses were laying far away, broken and she held a tiny kitten in her hands.

haruto bent down and called out her name, "sua"
"haruto", she said without opening her eyes.

"don't worry now, i defeated the dogs!"
the kitten meowed. the resident chuckled and said, "child, you're lucky to have a friend like him"
"uncle, we're not friends"
"oh? are you guys dating?"
"no, we're getting married later-"
haruto was interrupted by a hit on his arm. sua opened her eyes and placed the kitten down, "c-an-"
"can we take this kitten home?"
haruto asked instead of sua, the guy said, "she's too young, she might need her mother"
sua pouted and tried to get up, haruto helped her. "don't be scared again, little kitten", haruto said, intending it for sua.

"haruto, name her something"
"huh?"
"you saved it"
"i saved you!"
"i wouldn't have died"
"the wounds on your-"
"name it"
"name it sua then"
"tch there cannot be two sua-"
"at least one would choose me over yoshi hyung"
sua didn't reply.
"i was joking, let's name it suto?"
sua rolled her eyes as she knew what haruto was trying to do.

"suto then! take care suto! i'm taking your friend since it's her bedtime", the kitten meowed, sua was surprised.

sua said, "i'll walk on my own"
"okay"
haruto left her, she walked few steps but fell down. haruto laughed and said, "sure?"
sua pouted, he picked her up.
"yah!"
"shush!"
"haruto you-"
"your punishment for getting yourself hurt"
"who are you to-"
"should i say it?"
"yeah?"
"don't hit me though"
sua was afraid she'd fall down so she held his shoulder from one of her hands.

"your future husband"
"shut up, you don't deserve to speak"
"i deserve to drop you though"
"oh no, please don't", sua tightened her grip and closed her eyes. haruto chuckled.

"why did you come to find me when you said you don't like me?"
"because yoshi hyung wouldn't have come, right?"
"if he knew-"
"if you take his side again, i'll actually drop you"
"that's so unfair-"
"what were you saying?"
"thanks for coming, no one else would've"
"better"
"but you said you don't like me"
"yeah, i stick by that"
sua nodded.

"you're fine with it?"
"yeah, it's better this way, you won't cry again like that day"
"we're home, ring the bell"
sua did so.

"leave me now"
"no"
"please?"
haruto shook his head proudly. mr park opened the door, "there she is- haruto-"
haruto nodded.

mr.park opened the door wide. "reminds me of that day from years ago", mr.park said.
haruto smiled and said, "your daughter should be a soldier, she loves sacrificing"
mr.park chuckled, it was his type of humor.

"dad where is mom?"
"they went out for shopping"

"father, do they care about sua?"
"i know right, sometimes i also think that"
"yeah, we're the only ones"

"come on you two-" sua sighed. mr.park told the maid to bring the first aid box. haruto opened it and looked at it as if it was thermodynamics.

mr.park chuckled, sua said, "i'll do it, you go"
"no, i can do it. wait, did you get bit?"
"no, just some scratches from falling down and one of the dogs scratched my neck-"
"you should get an injection"
"no no never"
"come on, there's a tetanus injection here"
"i won't-"
haruto picked her up and made her hold the first aid box.

mr.park chuckled and looked away, "kids these days are so bold-".

haruto smirked and took sua to her room. sua jumped down and hid her drawings.
"why are you hiding them?"
"just do what you're here for and then go"
"okay, sit down"
haruto cleaned all the wounds except the neck one and brought a perfume to apply on her hand, then he said, "sua-"
"haruto, why were you so rude to me?"
haruto smiled and injected the medicine.

she ranted about him being rude to her. "it's done, sua", haruto chuckled. "what? already?", he nodded. she said, " i didn't feel anything!"
"wow, right?"
"thanks"
"now tilt your head"
"no, you sit down on the floor"
haruto signed and sat down, "watanabe haruto is on his knees!"
"for you"
"that sounds wrong, but anyways"
haruto cleaned her neck wound, the biggest one and applied medicine on it. her hair kept coming in the way.

"hey, hold them away", sua nodded. sua hissed in pain as he applied the medicine, he blew a little, she closed her eyes. haruto looked at her face and smiled.

"done?"
"yeah, can i ask you something?"
sua nodded. "do you not feel even a little bit of feelings towards me?"
sua looked down and then looked at his eyes which were desperate for an answer, "just a little bit".
haruto smiled widely and hugged her, she groaned in pain. he backed off and said, "i'm okay with that!", sua nodded.
