chapter 30:

"are you okay?", niki asked. sua nodded. sua said, "thanks for today, you can come in the morning tomorrow, I have to join the office from tomorrow", niki nodded and brought the desserts from the car.

niki set them up in the fridge and left. sua sighed as she sat with all lights out. sua ate all the sweet stuff and cried. she was thinking about how haruto hugged her, how she felt at peace after such a long time, was she being a nuisance? was it all just a misunderstanding?

there was a knock at the door, sua walked towards the door and opened it to see yoshi, sua sighed and said, "I don't-"
"We're going to the orphanage company funds tomorrow"
sua sighed again and nodded, "I'll join you guys"
"sua, don't stress too much"
"I won't", sua smiled.

"can I bring yedam along?", yoshi nodded and walked away. sua closed the door and texted yedam.

"you weren't good with kids at all!", yedam yelled.
"I got better! I needed to prepare myself for..", sua eyed yoshi and sieun, yedam chuckled.

all of them were in the lobby of the orphanage, waiting for the caretaker to arrive. haruto walked in the lobby with nayoung, he was wearing casual clothes instead of his work outfit.

sua looked at yedam who was nodding vigorously, telling her she could handle it. sua smiled and looked at niki who was busy texting, sua sneakily read a text and chuckled, "is your girlfriend mad at you?"
"not girlfriend.."
"just a friend?"
niki chuckled. sua and yedam teased him.

"it's a boy..", sua nodded, "and?"
"I like him, but he's dense!", niki said as he sighed.

yedam laughed, "want us to be your cupid?"
niki shrugged. sua smiled, knowing haruto was looking at her.

sua looked at haruto, he had puffy eyes and his face was swollen up. sua closed her eyes and rested her head at the wall, she did it quite aggressively, a bang was heard, haruto walked to her with widened eyes. sua held her head in pain while yedam laughed, "you're so dumb!"

yedam rubbed her head. haruto stepped back and looked around, as if he wasn't interested.

the caretaker arrived and said, "there are so many volunteers today! great to see!"
everyone chuckled.

"follow me, the children are in the ground"

everyone walked to the ground, the children gathered around and started chatting. sua was nervous. sua smiled and walked to the kids, they were afraid of her unfamiliar face. haruto started laughing, sua glared at him. sua pouted and stepped back, crossing her arms against her chest.

haruto cleared his throat and said, "who wants some candies?!", as he pulled them out of his pockets.

everyone shouted, sua rolled her eyes.

yoshi said, "let's play football! let's choose the teams!"

yoshi made sua stand in the middle of the court, he made haruto stand beside her, "it's totally up to you! choose your team!"

most children and nayoung walked up to haruto who was smiling. sua was pouting, yoshi, sieun, niki and yedam all accompanied her.

a boy walked up to sua, sua smiled and sat down, "I'll be in your team! you're prettier than her!", the boy pointed at nayoung. yedam controlled his laugh.
