"oh gosh, someone help me from not crushing on this sua!", yedam yelled. sua chuckled as she pulled him for a hug. yedam cleaned his tears, "I can't believe such a successful person is standing in front of me!" "and I can't believe the person who was there all the time for me-" "overstatement!", yedam yelled as he dragged sua to the living room.
"bang yedam, I never thought you'd have such a neat house!" "I have become better sua!", yedam said, sua chuckled and placed some desserts on the kitchen counter.
sua sat down on the sofa and sighed.
"what was that about?"
sua shook her head. "come on!", yedam yelled. sua told yedam about the whole haruto situation. "it's okay if it was just you guys being distant, but I guess there are third persons from both the sides, interrupting"
sua pouted. yedam took out his phone and texted in some group chat. "nayoung you said..was it by chance this..?", yedam showed sua a picture, sua nodded quickly, yedam sighed.
"just wait sua, haruto will explain, I know how much he loves you, he still cares, I believe" "I don't know, yedam" "I do! trust me!" sua sighed. the two talked a lot, then sua got tired and drove to her old house. it was dark soon, sua arranged her stuff around the house and reminisced the memories. she then got a call, "it's niki! I'll be your assistant from now on", the guy on the call said. "great timing, come to where you dropped the luggage".
sua dressed up, she was totally different from the sua few years ago, she had a great dressing sense now she didn't wear glasses just for show and she used to dress up confidently.
soon enough, niki was here. sua smiled and said, "I'm sua, sorry for the sudden demand of you to be my assistant, I just felt like it" "thanks a lot!" "drive me to the new mansion?" niki nodded and pulled the door for her.
sua sat beside niki, he chuckled, "aren't you supposed to sit at the back?" "oh, it's an habit, someone used to make me sit here, telling me he's not my driver-" sua chuckled. niki smiled and said, "someone I know is a big fan of that seat too!"
they reached the place, sua got outside and rushed in, niki followed her around.
she met her parents, endearingly. then she bowed to mr and mrs watanabe. mrs watanabe spread her arms, sua smiled and gave her a hug, her heart still heavy.
yoshi and sieun were already there, in the garden.
sua said, "I missed all of you so much!" "oh dear! if I were to tell you who missed you-", mrs watanabe was interrupted by haruto walking inside, with his secretary, "talk of the devil..", mr watanabe chuckled.
haruto smiled and bowed at everyone. sua walked to the garden, yoshi smiled and said, "I'll talk to him about it" "please don't, I don't want you to"
sua smiled again and sat down in front of yoshi and sieun, everyone walked outside for dinner. haruto sat beside sua, sua saved the seat on the other side for niki, niki rushed there, sua chuckled.
sua stared at haruto's hands, expecting their engagement ring but it wasn't there. her last hope was dying. sua's heart broke. she felt so weak. she had finally acknowledged haruto, tried to love him back, she had thought of him as her forever but, things seemed different.
sua sighed, haruto noticed it but he didn't know how to talk, haruto felt a hand on his thigh, he looked to his right to see nayoung who nodded. haruto shifted his leg away and smiled. sua was very observant about that.
everyone started eating, sua wasn't eating. haruto finally built up his courage and said, "you should eat".
sua nodded and stood up, "I want to request something", yoshi gulped.
sua continued with teary eyes, "I have been feeling this for a while now and.."
yoshi and sieun started coughing, yoshi asked, "and?"
"I think yoshi and sieun should have a kid!", sua said. everyone chuckled, the tension eased. yoshi sighed, glad she didn't say something he was expecting.
sieun said, "ready to adopt you!" "for real?", sua asked.
mrs watanabe said, "how is this boy so quiet today? weren't you just telling me yesterday what you would do when sua-", haruto choked on his food. sua searched for water but nayoung was faster. niki noticed it, he understood the whole thing by noticing sua's smile fade away.
sua said, "haruto, let's talk?" haruto nodded with his puppy eyes on, really happy sua finally wanted to talk to him. haruto stood up, nayoung stood up trying to follow him but niki 'accidentally' spilt something on her dress and apologized.
haruto held sua's hand like he has been wanting to and dragged her to his room. sua let him be.
haruto closed the door. sua sighed and said, "haruto..i want to.."
haruto hugged sua. sua froze up, she could feel what they say, goosebumps. haruto felt warm, once in so long. haruto then patted her back, caressing her hair. sua remembered something.
sua wanted to hug him back, but she pulled away, "I think we should.."
sua was tearing up. haruto was startled, he wiped her tears with his sleeve-ends.
sua stepped back and said, "I guess we should break this engagement"
haruto was shocked, he didn't expect that, he rather expected an I missed you.
sua controlled her tears, "why?" "I just think, we both don't like each other anymore"
haruto shook his head, haruto took a long breath and said, "do you not like me anymore?"
sua looked at haruto with teary eyes and rushed out side the room, she wasn't stopped by haruto. sua ran out and sat in her car, niki came out soon and drove her back to her house.
