"Where's Beomgyu hyung?" Hueningkai looked around to search for him.

"I-I don't know..." Taehyun replied as he continued to try calling for Beomgyu. "He's not picking up the call."

"Ah... This is driving me crazy" Hueningkai ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.

It was almost 9am in the morning and they were about to have their exam but Beomgyu was nowhere to be seen. Both of them were worried sick, but for slightly different reasons. Hueningkai was worried that Beomgyu was going through what he called as "bloody mornings" while Taehyun was worried that Beomgyu's symptoms of the black curse had resurfaced. Taehyun had left without Beomgyu because he and Hueningkai had agreed to meet earlier to do a last minute revision.

Taehyun attempted one last call before they had to enter their exam venue and finally Beomgyu picked up.

"Hyung!" Both Taehyun and Hueningkai exclaimed. Taehyun had put the call on speaker.

"...yes?" Beomgyu's voice sounded weak.

"Where are you?!" Taehyun asked, alarmed.

"At home... I will be there soon. Don't worry about me and focus on your exam."

"Hyung are you-"

Beomgyu hung up the call and sighed. He shut his eyes and relaxed his whole body. His arms fell to his sides and the phone slipped out of his hand. He leaned his head back against the wall and opened his eyes. All he saw was the white ceiling of his bathroom. His eyes travelled down to the floor which was dirtied with blood. Blood trails could be seen from the door to the toilet bowl. He wasn't having his best moment. He thought he was really going to pass out and possibly die when the black curse happened at the same time the chains around his heart tightened. 

"Fuck the exam..." He mumbled and sighed deeply again. He didn't really need to go for it, it was pointless for him but since Taehyun had wanted him to go for classes and take exams, he would do it. 

Beomgyu got up to his feet and washed his hands and rinsed his mouth before hastily washing off the blood on the floor. He took a quick glance at the bathroom floor again before leaving to change his clothes. 

Taehyun looked up from his papers and checked the clock. Half an hour had passed and Beomgyu was still nowhere to be seen. His seat was coincidentally near the entrance so he could see whoever entered. Just when he was able to face down and focus on his exam papers once again, the door opened quietly, revealing a messy Beomgyu. The shirt he was wearing underneath his hoodie was poking out at the bottom, one of his sleeves was rolled up and his half ponytail was tied messily. Despite that, he still looked stunning. 

Beomgyu glanced at Taehyun and showed him a small and reassuring smile before he got escorted to his assigned seat. Taehyun sighed in relief after seeing Beomgyu. His heart was at ease now, even though he was still slightly worried after seeing how pale Beomgyu had looked.

"Were you able to finish the papers?" Hueningkai asked Beomgyu once their exam was over. "I saw you coming in 30 minutes late."

"Yeah" Beomgyu replied as he sat on the bench outside the exam venue. 

Taehyun stood behind Beomgyu and untied his hair. He combed the older's hair with his fingers gently and listened to their conversation quietly. Hueningkai was rambling on how he misread the question and almost didn't have time to correct his answer. He smiled at his best friend's clumsiness and helped Beomgyu to tie a neat ponytail.
