"Ethan..." I stared at him, who fell on the ground shouting in extreme pain. While on the other side, the men started dragging Isabetta and Krystallo away. In the moment's haste, I grabbed the gun and targeted the man who was bringing my child away and shot him dead, securing Krystallo's safety, who was dropped on the ground crying. He is just 3 damn years, and however smart he is, still my child is innocent, and never was he prone to this world we've got into.
The man holding Isabetta tried to shoot Krystallo but David beats me to it and shoot him dead. Isabetta fainted on the ground and I ran to pick the crying Krystallo in my arms. He was shivering with fear and I hated it. No one is allowed to hurt my child, it is too dangerous the world we live in but that doesn't supposedly mean I will prepare a toddler for the worst yet.
Krystallo calmed in my arms while Marshall took care of Isabetta and David and Adrian rushed Ethan to hospital. Breathing harshly, I took krystallo with me to the hospital.
"How is he?" The doctor just smiled as Krystallo was asleep on the bed and I sat on the edge. "He is fine and just shocked. Don't you worry... It'll be fine." I nodded irrespective of my wandering thoughts and gliding my hands in my baby's soft and silky hair watched him sleeping. he looked nothing less than an angel and just like that saw many memories of Ethan caring and looking at me with awe washed my brain. Deep down I was scared because he had a heart attack and now was inside the OT being treated still the fear of losing him was no less.
Breathing heavily and trying to focus on my sleeping child, who would wake up before dawn lingered in my sight.
"How is he?" David's voice came and turning to him I smiled warily. "He is fine, what about Ethan?"
"Nothing seems good, the doctors are trying their best, she had a heart attack and they think it is because of something too overwhelming for him. There is a possibility that he gained his memories back or something triggering he got to know for it to happen."
"Oh Christ, I wish for him to get well soon."
"Me too but Sapphy, do you think letting Krystallo stay here is fine because I don't think it is. I prefer for you both to go from here back to New York and settle there. You can always be a goddess from any corner of the world but you both being here will only create casualties for both of you."
"I don't want to go away or anywhere now. Even so, I may think of sending Krystallo back to New York. What do you say?" It was a breaking decision for me, how can I possibly live without my child but it is best for him because I can live apart but to think he isn't there for me to ever see him, I will die.
"You won't be able to live without him Sapphy, I don't think this to be a very good decision." He knows me well but I couldn't bear with the thought of seeing Krystallo's grave... Ugh... never
"But-"
"No. Let's just think about Krystallo living here safely. I will arrange for the snipers and fighters to look out for him 24*7." Nodding, I let David go. A deep sigh left my lips. It is a tough decision but maybe, life already decided for us. I want to turn my back for always now from Ethan. It is the only way for our children to stay safe.
