"Sapphire?! But how?" I was still daze when krystallo pulled her to come and sit with him. She didn't spare a glance towards me because all she did was look at Krystallo and smile. I couldn't listen to anyone's voice because the thudding of my heart eloped me. The deep ache echoed in my chest. The painful stab twisting and bleeding. Even my eyes were hazy, how am I supposed to suck it all up. This doesn't make any sense.
Everyone believe she died, I couldn't give myself false hope. The days I found myself alone and lonely. The days, I cried relentlessly asking for her to return even when it felt futile. Those times when I felt it is hard to go on but I pushed and exhorted myself to do it for the sake that she has left me Krystallo. In these five years, I became a father and mother both for my son when she was around the world having fun?
I never said she doesn't deserve to stay away if she felt exhausted. I could happily let her go on whatever trip she liked to and with whomever, she wanted but didn't I deserve the least bit of mercy as to be aware that she is alive. I know, I acted like an ass but what she has done, it reached my limits now. I don't deserve this, I don't deserve any of it. The pain, the torture, and all the nightmares I've been through. The emotional breakdown I had to face, I don't deserve. She promised to understand me, yet she backed out leaving me alone all these years.
True, sapphire died. She died in that blast and this lady in front of me is Azura Radley. Right, she isn't my sapphire. She isn't.
"Krystallo," I sternly called for him that grabbed everyone's attention. This time she finally looked at me, her face straight without any emotion. I felt hollow once again after the time knowing she left me alone.
"Just don't go around calling anyone your mother. Haven't I already talked this through that she died?!" Clenching my jaws I firmly told him which earned gasps from everyone around. David was silent all while, staring at his sister like she isn't a human but a ghost. Humph... ghost, my ass. She was very much alive all these years but kept all of us in the dark.
"But Dadda, she is Mama." Krystallo meekly responded but the anger bubbling inside me brought me to the edge. "Shut up, and come here now!! Hear me at once!" I never ever snapped at krystallo before today, but now I did what never occurred. I snapped at my own son for whom I have done everything to nurture.
His eyes turned watery as he slowly left his mother's hands and walked to me afraid. I hated how scared he looked seeing me but I couldn't do anything. There was so much venom-filled inside me that the cure wasn't there yet for it.
"Eth-"
"Hayden!! Ms. Azura, it is Hayden Reids." I snapped at her cutting her mid-sentence. After so many years, I finally was able to hear her but even then it wasn't enough.
"Adrian. Marshall. I think we should leave, let's meet some other time." I told them coldly but Adrian still keep on staring at me. "Hayden, I think you should rest a bit before making any rash decision. Talk it out." Marshall said but I don't want to hear any of them.
