"What do you want now Vladimir?" I asked him as my gun was pointing at him and his hands inside his pockets without a grim expression. I had a very sadistic one over mine, imagining him dead and at my mercy, but he seemed off guard and that bothered me. As promised, he was back from Russian and now with Maria and Mom as his captive, standing chained by his guards at the back, stood with a blindfold over their eyes and another cloth wrapped around their mouth to choke their voices.
My blood was already getting diluted with poison as I remembered the heads of my beloved men in front of me. David has totally lost himself now, and wouldn't even move an inch. Sapphire is nowhere to be found after murdering the bastard of a father Luca Aloysius was.
I have no plans anyway for Blood Natix as it is soon going to get dissolved into ashes. My ultimate plan is to vanish this syndicate and everything it has left related to this world.
"Have you got what I wanted Ethan?" He asked me smugly and ground my teeth, I silently nodded in confirmation. "Here are the papers. Now leave them and let go." I shouted throwing the paper to be exchanged with the captors. He smiled ruefully at me but even so sent his trusted man to look at the papers before he signalled his boss standing behind him and smiled ever so widely confirming yet another victory for him. I was sour inside but I had no other choice.
I need to get down to work fast and find the mother of my son who has been sulking and crying non-stop for his mother for the past week. I need to track down where Sapphire has disappeared. It's been too long that I haven't seen my wife or told her, how much I love her.
"Fine, Aloysius. You get to have the fair end of the bargain... Rocco, leave the captors." he signalled and as soon as he retreated and let maria and mom to see around by unwrapping the blindfold, they happily with tears in their eyes rushed to my side but as soon as they were about to reach my eyes widened.
Vladimir pulled his gun out and looked with a satisfied grin before targetting his shot at Maria and no later bullet the trigger. I shouted for her to somehow dodge it by changing her path but before all of it can happen, my mother ran to her and guarded her body with her own. She took the blow as the men on my side started shooting at them yet they were inside their car and took off to take any harm and damage. I froze in place.
Somehow running my feet towards Maria who was managing hardly to stand with my mother's body weighing down on her, I helped her to move away and embrace my mother's body in my arms. She was breathing ever so slowly as her tear-filled eyes looked into my own tear-filled ones. Even if she wasn't the woman who gave birth to me but she was all I ever asked for. She cared for me and loved me as her own. Even if she had her own evil reasons many times but then also, she was my mother. Hell with the blood, I had a far supreme bond with her than that.
"Mom... please, keep breathing. We soon will get you to the hospital." I cupped her face pressing it into my chest when her cold hands cupped my face as she smiled weakly with tears in her eyes. My own eyes weld up with unshed tears as my orbs looked at her beautiful orbs that even so replicated mine irrespective of the blood.
