"Mitsuki, wake up," I poked my friend's cheek while whispering, his eyes opening immediately after with a smile.

"I was already up."

I sigh, standing up from the floor. "So I snuck into your house for nothing? You could've opened the door when I knocked."

Mitsuki sat up in the bed, covers still on him. "I thought it would be more fun to watch you try and reach me. I was right."

With a playful smack to the back of his head I laugh, looking around his apartment some more. "You still aren't a fan of decorating I see."

"Meow!"

"Oh, hi there baby! I missed seeing you!" I bend down and pick up the small cat, holding it close with a smile. I used to visit Mitsuki every other day, but since dad came to town for a visit I haven't had the chance.

Even if it's only been a week.

"Dad left this morning so I'm able to start coming over again to hang out," I explain, looking at Mitsuki to see he was getting out of bed.

"Okay. What do you wanna do?" I smile as he leaves for the bathroom, letting me think over some options.

"What about making a pillow fort? We only have a few hours before our mission anyway, so nothing too grand."

The door to the bathroom opens after the toilet flushes and Mitsuki nods with a smile. "Sure. What's a pillow fort?"

I laugh, setting the cat down to grab the sheets and pillows off his bed, along with the spares he had in the closet.

"We use this stuff to make something like a house. That way, when we go inside, we can lay in it without having it fall on us," I explain the basics; expecting Mitsuki to not really understand but do it with me anyways for some extra fun.

"Ohh, I get it," It's almost immediate that Mitsuki takes all the stuff from me, sitting me down onto his stripped bed.

"Huh?"

The boy doesn't respond. Instead, he uses some of his snakes as support beams, throwing the loose sheet over it to make a perfect box. He then goes in and adds the comforter and pillows, taking some extras to make more fluff.

I sit in awe, watching as he builds the best fort I've ever seen, and in record timing too. "It looks... better than expected."

Mitsuki nods, sitting inside of the fort, that at this point was more like a canopy bed with extra sides.

"Isn't the point of making it so people can cuddle?" His face is so clueless and innocent that I can't help but laugh a little while nodding.

"Yeah, for people who I guess— love each other? Those kinds of people like to cuddle in forts," I explain it in terms Mitsuki might understand without having to think too hard.

I wasn't expecting questioned when I offered the idea of pillow forts up. I thought we could do something fun together before leaving.

I guess we still kind of did in a way.

"Then come here," Mitsuki holds his arms out, opening and closing his palms. It was like grabby hands from a toddler.

My heart practically breaks at the cute sight.

"Awee, that's adorable! Wait..." I'm a little slow to register what he's saying, but I get there. "You love me?"

He nods, raising an eyebrow like I'm being an idiot. "I'm the moon, and you're my sky. Without you, I'd have no reason to exist."

His words make me crumble and I give in, dashing into Mitsuki's arms so he can hold me. What else could I do? He was making me weak.

"Mitsuki, by love you mean friendship, right?"

His squeeze on me tightens. "I love Sarada and Boruto as friends yes, along with everyone else I've come to know... except you. When I'm around you, what I feel isn't like love, it's like someone's punching my heart and unleashing a cage of butterflies in my stomach—"

The more he talks the more I realize what I've done, and I smile. He can feel that way towards people. I'm glad it's me. Even if I couldn't find it in myself to trust the boy when he first arrived; I've grown to love him more than I should.

"Hey, Mitsuki," I sit up a little, looking down at the boy's face. He looks back at me, and I take my chance, planting my lips on his is a quick yet nice kiss. For the first time, it wasn't bad, the warmth was nice.

He just stares at me, shocked beyond belief. "Huh?"

"What if I say you can have me all to yourself?"

Mitsuki seems to go into overdrive as his pale skin turns red. "I don't understand what that means. Why am I hot? My face feels warm. Are you sick? What is this? I must speak to my parent about this new feeling."

You chose Mitsuki as your boyfriend!

This path's outcome...

Sasuke: Sees you and Mitsuki kiss; drags you home; finds Orochimaru; yells at him; goes home; throws a tantrum

Orochimaru: He was glad that his young boy could feel such a strong emotion, and then realized it was his old student's kid and laughed a shit ton.

Sarada: Yells at you every time you forget sunscreen on missions for Mitsuki.

Class: Mitsuki is so blunt that it's hard for them to not be uncomfortable or jealous.

y/n's Overall Life

y/n leaves Konoha rather quickly, finding refuge in Orochimaru's hideout where Mitsuki finds her on his next visit and decides that rather than staying in The Leaf he'll live in the base with you. The two of you are sure to hide whenever Yamato comes around.

Team Seven was left disbanded after losing two members, Boruto and Sarada too caught up in trying to get their friends back to do much about it.

You find a liking to the medical side of Jutsu and read up on it quite a bit. In the end, you even teach yourself how to perform medical Jutsu, thinking yourself to be like your mom.

Orochimaru likes having you guys around. Truth be told he missed having Sasuke back in his teen years always moody and cold. He noted that y/n was nearly the complete opposite almost immediately.

y/n never does go back to the village, and instead stays a rogue nin. She doesn't have a job because of that, but helping around Orochimaru's base was something she did a lot.

Mitsuki and y/n never wed, mainly because Orochimaru had instead put a forbidden seal on them that linked their hearts. When one died, so did the other. They considered that close enough to marriage.

The duo has one child, but y/n makes the difficult choice to give her to Konoha, leaving the kid at the gates with a handwritten note. That way everyone knew her and Mitsuki were okay and that they were together.

Shockingly, the two of them survive till their old ages, dying together with Orochimaru looking over them. He ain't dying anytime soon.

Mitsuki was a shockingly great man to have. He always made sure y/n had what she wanted and tried his best to give her normal relationship things like hugs and tons of kisses. He secretly talked to his parent about how to treat someone like y/n though, cause he truly didn't know.

Their daughter was taken in by Boruto, who raised her as his own while teaching the girl about her biological parents and what they were like. He never took credit from them where it was deserved.

That very girl grew up to be Hokage, leading the nation as a strong woman. Orochimaru eventually found her and introduced himself as their grandparent, offering memorabilia of Mitsuki and y/n along with the reasons they gave her away.
